Buying zMUD or Lua/LMTS/IMTS curing system.

Title says it all, really. I'd prefer that it be the latter kind, yet I'll accept a zMUD coded system as well. If you wish this to be a private matter, PM me by all means. You can tell me what makes your system worth purchasing and give me an idea of what you wanted to get for it.]

To be clear. I'll pay you up to $100 or the equivalent in credits depending on the system and how good/advanced it is.

Erm, why not just use Treant for free? It's LUA, and probably one of the most solid publicly available curing systems out there. And for a handful of credits Zarq will give you a fancy support contract. I'm sure he'd take the $100, too, if you're really adamant about throwing it around. tongue.gif

I was under the impression that MUSH Client was required for Treant. Is this not the case?

I'm only considering a system that is either zMUD, or able to be used in conjunction with zMUD, preferably the latter, as LUA is faster and junk.

There are no zmud systems available. Most people went to mush. Some people still use Zmud systems, like myself, but them being available is another story.

Wasn't even aware zMud handled LUA. Sorry, yeah, Treant is for mush.

Unlike him, I give into bribes.

Check your PM's, Krellan.

I'm working on a Lua-based one in IronMoon (SVN Version of IMTS), but I've yet to gather all the triggers I need. (Might steal a peak at Treant's XML files. Been thinking about including SQLite, but that seems overkill)

If you don't want to bother working on a system, it won't be for you. I'm going to be redoing it for the third time. I'll probably be willing to share it once I have it working better.

I have a 95% complete version of IMTS (essentially, Whyte's with some serious recoding to make it work in Lusternia). It lacks sap curing and the parry/stance/wound tracking is a bit busted, and it has some bugs left. However, it works quite well for the most part. I just don't really have the motivation to finish it. You're welcome to buy it from me. I was thinking about releasing it for free, but I haven't decided really and I wouldn't do that until I finished it which might never happen.

I'd love to have that, if it were fully functional. I can't really justify paying for something that isn't complete and covers all cures. =/

Well, I'll let you know if I ever finish it, but chances are I won't.

Out of curiosity, what is it that ties you to zMUD and keeps you from MUSHclient?
Unknown2009-05-22 00:28:26
It's the only client I'm familiar with. I've used it all the way down the years and I'm very comfortable with it. Sure, I don't CODE too much, but I did give MUSH a chance a while back. Stuck with it for a week, but in the end I just couldn't bring myself tog et comfortable with it. It was just too.. awkward.

I'd say it's zMUD's user friendlyness that keeps me with it.

Could buy cmud, there's a free system for it which is quite good, and cmud is even more prettier and has a better gui than zmud.
Unknown2009-05-22 00:48:11
A good suggestion, but one I have considered. I've been looking at Cmud more and more of late and I'm honestly intrigued by it, as it's pretty much zMUD but a whole lot faster. (And prettier wub.gif ) but as I'm returning to Lusternia after only a week long period of trying it out more than a year ago, I'd rather not have to learn a new client as well as a MUD. =/

CMUD is good for your soul if you know how to torture it. Alas, I've decided to just buy a system, so that I can play the game more often and participate in keeling people. Maybe when I have time, I'll go back to CMUD to code it moar. Learning Phyton at school too. wink.gif

CMUD wasn't good for my soul. It tortured me and I caved.

You mean Python?

Oh, and that IronMoon app looks promising! I like that he's putting more of the logic into the Lua script. I'm adapting IronMoon for Lusternia now to see if he's fixed any of the bugs I couldn't find in the old IMTS.

What's this?
Unknown2009-05-22 12:27:05
It's Whyte's new version of MudBot, basically. It was mentioned in this thread, so I went to check it out (literally, using Subversion).

I was working on getting the Lusternia parse functions ported from LMTS 2.0, and I discovered that the ones in the C code aren't even being used because it's all deferring to the Lua script now. Heh.

I'm still seeking this. I've messaged a couple of people who I was tipped to speak to, but I've yet to hear back from them. Serious money up for grabs people, for work you've already done.
