if it accepts canonical names, you could always sign up for a (free) service like dyndns.com that will automatically update your ip as it changes. Many modern routers (like linksys and cisco) have built in protocols for it and update automatically for you without an application needed.

I'll give it a try but why don't you just post the instructions in the thread?
Serella2009-05-29 00:19:19
Yay, SWR~
I should go play more (once finals are over, blah). Also, the Youtube replay looks so colorful and psychedelic-y @_@

Though after a few Lunatic attempts on EoSD and PCB, it starts to look fairly tame in comparison.

(instructions sent with explanation)
Alianna also uploaded a match of me vs. Aliod...and left his skype on in the background, causing it to make noises during the video, but nm.

Since I can't play this, please post more videos of cosplaying pre-teen girls beating the living daylights out of each other.
Dysolis2009-05-29 04:34:27
The moves look anime-ish, game looks fun.
Ayisdra2009-05-29 19:22:43
Alright, looks fun. Shiri PM with directions, please?
Shamarah2009-05-30 03:41:35
this game is so strange. it's kind of good though.
Narsrim2009-05-30 03:51:52
PM instructions to me too!

I thought people would be familiar with fighting games but I guess not. So here's another thing you can do: if you press down, then down-right, then right, then either X or C, you can do special moves. You can also get different ones with right, down, then down-right (this one might be a little trickier to get the hang of.) There's also left variants, depending on the character. For example, the witch can use the "towards opponent" variant to shoot some stars, and the away from opponent variant to jump on her broom and bludgeon you. Some characters also have attacks that come out when you double-tap down and then press X or C (the witch shoots some exploding pot or whatever.)

Fighting games on a PC = dubious

You would think so, but you can just use your pad if you want (Aliod has been) and it makes netplay possible without paying a crapload for a PS3 or 360!
EDIT: Also, the controls are surprisingly keyboard friendly, although IAD is even trickier than on a pad. There's no two button attacks you need to do extremely regularly like a throw escape or something so that's not a problem either.

Elaboration: Imagine a numpad.
7 8 9
4 5 6
1 2 3
If someone says to do '236X' then you essentially translate that into your regular keypad movements:
Down (2), then right (3 since you've got both held down), then let go of down (6), and then hit X.
It's easier for the community to just say '236B' or '214C' or '6A' (A being Z, B being X, and C being...C. Like control pad directions. You get used to it.) rather than the awkward sentence above.
I've noticed that unlike most other fighter games, the special moves are pretty simplistic here. If you're ever lost, hit up the wiki or just ask us for help.

*continues to play street fighter 4*
Shiri2009-05-30 04:29:50
This is better than street fighter 4.
Maybe not guilty gear though.

I think I'm getting marginally better at this and I want to try playing some of you over the internet, how do we do that?
