This is the kind of stuff you bug. Without relevant detail it's harder to fix.

Ya gotta admit it's still funny, though.

Bug I just saw the following deathsight: "Yamori has been slain in the Shadowvale Arena by a flagon." I believe Yamori was sparring with X, and it was an ordinary duel rather than any other sort of arena event.

Something like that will do.

Why is it bad to post your bug on the forum rather than bugging it? There are three basic reasons.

(1) If the bug is abuseable, then we don't want it generally known about for obvious reasons.
(2) We don't all read the forums.
(3) Even if a coder does read your bug, there is no guarantee that he will remember to fix it. If you bug the bug, then it sits in a queue and he can't forget about it.

It's not much to ask. If you're taking the time to post it to the forums, you might as well bug it as well.



What a ridiculous comment. Of course people want it fixed. But even if they didn't, an apparently superficial bug like that should be bugged in any case, on the off-chance that it's a symptom for something bigger.

What if that deathsight was true?! Maybe he really was killed by a flagon.

Then you'll get a message back saying that your bug was not considered a bug at all, but thanks all the same.

I think it would help to talk to Sidd (the one who actually killed him in that FFA) and find out what he did. Maybe it's some ability that's bugged and not the deathsight message itself?

I just kind of assumed he drunk too much booze for a brewmastery or dwarf benefit of some kind and the deathsense was the last sip that killed him...or something.

It happens all the time. We know celestines aren't cheese cake, but one judged Shuyin not too long and it showed a cheese cake instead of a celestines. It happens randomly.

And I think I bugged that... and also posted it for laugh factor (not for "this is a bug") on the forums.

Yeah, that's why I posted it, for the laughs. Random deathsight glitches happen. :shrug:

In that case, I'd mention what bleeding attacks you might've used there near the end or what afflictions he might've had that caused the bleeding to increase. Sounds like a case of the "bleeding attacker" not being set properly, maybe.

Don't see what good it'd do for Shaddus to bug it when it's in Yamori or Sidd's court.

He still noticed the bug and sometimes we can fix it just based on that sort of report - this line was seen.

I still don't see a bug in the queue with the word "flagon" in it.

And there really is no "random" for this kind of stuff happening, the cause nearly always in one box of problems.

Yeah, I didn't see it on my end, but suddenly I've got tells from all over to the tune of "LOL WUT."

I know I bled out from Sidd's attacks...can't remember if I was in Choke or not, don't think so. I'll bug with what I remember if it'll help. I also sparred Sidd a few times partly to see if it was replicable, but it didn't seem to happen again. I'm guessing it's something weird with Arenas + bled to death. It was also a freeforall that Sidd started, for what it's worth.
