...what is Jojobo?
Aerotan2009-06-01 23:14:19
Forest #4: Jojobo Jungle.

How have I never heard of that?
Xiel2009-06-01 23:17:21
Comes from excessively reading the histories.

On that list, I chose forging. I would personally prefer if the random number system of forging (and enchanting robes) is done away with. Instead there could be variations in design and forging (enchanting) focus that allowed you to choose the result, and the result always being the best it can be for the specific thing you focused on achieving.

Heh-- always wondered about org specific races (elfen, faeling, merian, viscanti) having a sub-race for monks. Would be an interesting mix. As someone who is just getting into aetherspace / progenitor of a family, I'd love to see both of these tweaked... But I feel forging takes precident over all else.
As a shopkeeper, it is nearly impossible to get any forger to dedicate him, or herself to the task-- especially for bulk orders. You wouldn't believe what I have to do in order to convince someone in my org to make 12 nekai for newbies.
I won't even go into how the guild design contest produced five nekai designs... and it appears I will have great difficulty finding anyone in the org willing to commit to making my perfect speed nekai. Forgers aren't willing to commit to the huge time suck.
I throw my support to forgers for just these reasons.

I've said for a long time that Lusternia has too many afflictions. Maybe that could be something we could focus on in for the month!
I understand that some people feel that we shouldn't add anything until the population is bigger or that we fix what we have already. It's not like we don't hear that--remember, we went through most of last year focusing on combat skills! However, I don't agree that adding new areas, skills, systems, etc. is a bad thing or makes things muddled. We always are looking to evolve. Sometimes it may not go as we would have hoped but sometimes it does. In any event, we're asking the one thing you'd like to see worked on this month!

I whole-heartedly agree.

Personally, I'd like to see you folks finish the Kephera and Illithoid outposts on Prime that someone started building but never finished and now they just sit there, useless. The Illithoid one is even stuck behind a locked iron door that I need to break down if I want to get inside.
Oh, and if you look at races, PLEASE make it so Illithoid can at least FEASIBLY influence. 7 Charisma doesn't even let you regain equilibrium in time to influence again before the mob hits you with their own attack and eventually becomes willful, no matter how much you try.

Go go making Forging viable to make designs which don't use all metal comms.
Also, Illithoid are not meant to influence. If you want to, go choose a race without the CHA penalty in exchange for the huge amounts of CON and DEX they get. /illithoid argument.
Other than that, I also support making merian and mugwump less sucky without bringing back the mindset of speed rules all. Let's knock down some of those weaknesses, yes.

I sosososososo want to see gnomes and finks made into playable races!
I always thought those would be interesting cameo-only races, as kind of an incentive, but I could actually see gnomes having tinkering or aetherspace bonuses.

Agreed. Also agree with the person that said something about making forging easier, because only all metal designs are really viable.

Kephera racial language would be nice.

You know that stealth ability, the signs one? It would be super cool if kephera had that and you guys could convey messages with your racial emotes.

+ Families capable of adopting sort of like how bloodbonding is done. Only one parent need to be there to adopt, and the other parent either having to agree to it, or them being capable of veteoing the addition before the 12 months is up.
+ Families capable of bannering with each other prior to being a lesser house. (In this vein, you could have a plethora of smaller families banding together to become a Lesser or Great House. This would offer another way to get to Lesser/Greater house--via the accumulation of smaller families bannering to your family. )
+ As stated above, a variety of purchasable privileges. (Of which I have no suggestions at the time being.)
I'm not very coherent right now, because when it comes to family and family RP, I go a little nutters, but, basically, I would love for families to matter more. And I would love if the requirements necessary for adopting children became less strenuous. As it is, it's oft times hard to be on at the same time, and this isn't even touching upon the necessary evil that is divorcing and re-marrying just to keep your family alive numbers-wise, should your spouse go dormant.

These points, yes. I wholeheartedly agree.
And after Gregori's points, I've changed my mind on single parents, as the results of that would be... terrifying. But I prefer the latter option of Astraea's first point. And it could be made so that if both parents and the child agree, they could skip the consideration time, because honestly, no one adopts a newb and then lets them decide if they want to join the family or not.
... Right?

We only have one single racial emote, and that's the females making their butts glow.
Males got shafted.
Click is just the generic click emote. Le sigh. MORE RP LOVE TO KEPH Illithoid definitely got more. Damn their inner worms, ect.

I throw my support to forging, but I think that if forging is going to be looked at, the mechanics for enchanting (robes at least) needs to be evaluated as well, since as far as I know, it's the same numbers system but worse because enchanters can't smelt the robes and start over.
The only problem I have with recycling 100% of comms is that the all-metal designs will be obsoleted due to price. Gems are cheap, metal is not. Perhaps if there were a conversion table (5 gems = 1 metal) that 100% recycling could become possible without ruining the utility of existing designs. In summary, yes please, but be careful!
