My puppy eats my toes. It's cute until she draws blood. I am thusly dissatisfied with my little squeaker, even though I love her to bits.

I heard my cat cough up a hairball earlier. I don't know where, but I just know it's lurking somewhere, waiting to be stepped on in bare feet

I spent about two months attending modeling pratice, for a pretty big event for charity. Two to three times a week, for about two hours a piece, after work for me so tiring. Then they have a sort of judging day to see who gets in today, and I don't make it.
But my stupid metrosexual friend does, even though I'm better than him and he wasn't even at the judging, because one of the oraganizers likes him, i.e get in his pants.

So, I'll share the horrible luck of my last two weeks.
First, I wrecked my car. I think I might have ranted about that in the old LoR(RL) thread. Well, then, I wasn't sure if it was actually totaled or was fixable. I was waiting on the insurance asessor to look at it and let me know. Well, it is. Apparently, in Arkansas, if the damage cost more than 75% of the blue book value of the car, then it's a total loss. Both my airbags deployed which would cost four grand to set right and the value of my car was only $5,500. So, even without anything else, that did it.
But remember how I didn't get hurt at all in the wreck? Only got a bruise on my hand? Well, two days later, I was running and got a cramp in my right leg that was so bad it STILL hurts today, and fell, twisting my left ankle. So, I totaled my car and came out with a bruise, and while exercising, I screw up both legs.
Went to the doctor and found out that it is just a sprain, nothing broken or ruptured in my ankle or anything. Got some meds and a friend loaned me some crutches to get around on cause I couldn't walk without them - sprained ankle on the left side and the right leg wouldn't let me have any weight on it at all.
So, anyway, that was last week. This week had it's own fun. I got a call on Wednesday telling me that it was my last day with the rental. So, I call the insurance people and ask them why and the guy tells me that my focus is totaled and gives me an offer to settle the claim - or I can pay to fix it myself. Not having thousands of dollars just lying around, I take the settlement, which is close to what I paid for the focus anyway. The insurance guy gives me one more day on the rental so I can get my title - cause the state revenue people never gave it back to me - and bring it to him to collect my check.
So, I leave work early and go get my stuff out of the focus so I can release it to the insurance people. That was fun to do on crutches. The guy who worked at the wrecker lot just stood and watched me try to carry stuff from the focus to the rental. I turned my ankle again in the gravel too and said a lot of words that would SHOCK people here! It hurt though! Then, I went to the revenue place to find out why they didn't send me my title. Turns out there was a mix-up with the odometer reading. The nice lady helped me out with that, I think she felt sorry for me limping around on crutches. She told me it would be ready for me to pick up at noon the next day.
The next day, I left work early again to go get my title and give it to the insurance guy. He wrote me the check and then told me that cause it was over five grand, I probably woudn't be able to have acess to it right away cause of some dumb rule about checks over five grand having to be processed some special way. I went to my bank and they told me if I deposted the check, I'd have access to the money on the 18th. I tried to cash the check at the bank the check was drawn from and they told me they would cash it but only after some kind of positive something or another went through and that I should come back the next day because it probably would have by then. It didn't matter though cause I had to turn in the rental that day no matter what and I no longer had the money I was planning on extending the rental with.
So, today, I called a friend to come pick me up at work and take me to the bank, fully expecting to cash the check, deposit the cash, get another rental and go car shopping this weekend.... But the stupid positive whatever didn't get processed. So now, I have to try again on Monday. And I'm stuck without money (I have like $3 in my checking account) and without transportation. Plus, all the running around I had to do over the last few days has screwed my ankle up more.
So, that's my sucky couple of weeks.

Lots of people hiring, but alas, nobody hiring me, or anyone I know who's gone to apply. This economy sucks for students.
I'm going out again tomorrow to try my luck, but it's disheartening.

I've put in over a dozen applications in the past 6 months and haven't been called back since February. I'm down to applying at fast food restaurants now.

They do, but getting to the busstops on crutches has been a daunting enough idea that I haven't tried. Plus, each ride is $1.50 and I don't got that right now. I'm gonna bug a friend tomorrow to give me a ride to a few places I have to go to though I think.

I have to find a new place to live by Thursday. And last night, a very unkind lady at the Mc'Donalds stole my debit card, and I was forced to cancel it. Now I must wait 7-10 business days before getting a new one. Though it will be sent to the house I no longer live at.
I am mildly dissatisfied, and am considering frowning, though it has not reached the toxicity required to be labeled as rant or an otherwise ill-fitted remark.

This is why you don't wear white.

I found a new home that's way cheaper than this one, but the expenses in involved in moving there and terminating the contract on this one early mean I'll only see a return in 6 months. It'll be worth it, but right now I have -no- money (and the moving company won't accept six installments, they insist on two).

I always wear black. Hot as can be, and you have to keep the fuzzlies off of it, but much nicer looking and easier to take care of.
