You didn't write the numbers but you did have to color them in. You used a black crayon, rubbed it over the whole face, then wiped it off, thus leaving behind the crayon only inside. (The numbers were too small for a Sharpie.) Also, the d20s were numbered 0 to 9 twice, so you used a magic marker to color in one set of sides a different color to make those 11-20. I still have most of my first set from 1981, but the corners are so worn down they're unrollable.

This is my original d4, d6, and d12, and a d8 and d20 that aren't too much later on (my original d20 was yellow though, and this one is from 1984, by which time they'd invented 11-20 on the sides; I still have some from before that, but crisp and unused).

I'll ask sissy to try and find mom's old dice. Dad might have gotten them when they divorced, if so, lost for the ages. Unhappily. While I like normal old dnd, I prefer Deadlands. Wooo, Call of Cthulhu meets the West! (old west, that is?)

I moved to a new apartment. Before doing so, I let my Guild know that I'd be gone for a while since the Internet here was reputably awful.

It wasn't as bad as I thought and after about a week I decide "Okay, let's get Lillie back in action!"

Suddenly, the Internet goes to hell.

My dice will never end up that way. I have Stainless Steel dice with depressed and "blued" numbers. While I have other, less impressive plastics(I...collect dice. They're just so wonderful...I have so many D6s that I had to move them into a plastic box), I always use my good ones when I need the luck.

And I fist started playing DnD when I was 8, but then I stopped because I turned into a social hermit.

I've only heard tales of THACO. I know mum played before THACO (though she knew about it). My fiance played during those days. All he says now is that it was really freaking stupid. And the picture of the dice is huuuuge.

There's a group of crackheads arguing outside my hotel room.

Rant talk and grief? My puppy fell asleep with my sneaker in its mouth... BUSTED

Doctors keep running tests on me and telling me more and more bad news.
I'm so frustrated these days from the tests, answers, and general discomfort...
and now I'm kinda sad that my frustration is starting to seep into Nori's personality.

My general dissatisfaction for today (so far, I've only been awake for 20 mintues) is the gigantic size of that picture Lendren posted!

No one's will. That only happened to the first generation of dice because of the plastic they used. Even the dice I bought in 1983 are still fine. (I also collect, I have about 300 dice including quite a few rarities.)

My grandma's cancer is getting worse. Not better like the doctors said.

Sometimes, I really hate it when the doctors have this whole happy-happy-la-la-la air about them, like everything is going to be just fine.

They do that so you don't get all depressed. They're trying to lift your spirits.
