I feel like I work with a Robert Jordan type; why say it in three pages when you can meander along for another five or so in the attempt to say everything ever about the company? Especially when it means your clients will be guaranteed to skim everything and process nothing!

This is more "Let's make sure we talk about absolutely every program the client (donor) might possibly maybe be interested in, just in case they might possibly maybe want to fund that program instead of the general funding we're asking for or anything they actually expressed interest in or that follows their company or foundation's giving mandates."

I'm only "generally dissatisfied," though. But still. It's the principle of the thing. Are threads just supposed to be closed when an admin doesn't think anyone else might have anything to add? Who are these forums for, exactly?

I always end up writing exactly the minimum length. It's irritating. Why say in 4 paragraphs what I can do with 3 sentences?

I have a Sony Vaio laptop. It's crap. If I could I'd go back in time and ask it be unbought. Has a fan so loud my roommate began to hate me for it. Anyway, so I ship it off to get fixed.

So my house gets hit by lightning in July. Kills just about everything plugged into the wall. Get back laptop, but router is dead, everything is dead, so we replace everything. Finally hook up laptop and have internet.

I find out my laptop was summarily ruined during its three week stay in San Diego. Sure I have a quiet fan, but the laptop shuts off about ten seconds after being turned on. Consistently.

So now I have to go ship it AGAIN. And I might not have it in time for classes. And it's a safe bet everything will get wiped.

....Also this means all my reflexes are going to be destroyed. And dammit, I am so bad at setting those up. ;_;
