For the record, I don't think mathematicians ever say anything anyone understands. Even other mathematicians. I have this on good authority.

No, I just want something applicable to some real life scenario, otherwise I'd be a physics major. In fact, I should have gone for that instead. I really love doing the physics work.

But I figure the weirdness of my engineering major makes up for it. (And I decided to get that physics minor too.)

Today I received yet another email saying "XYZ is due today, please don't forget to turn it in," to which my response is, "What the hell is XYZ, and why the has no one even mentioned it before today?" This is becoming increasingly frustrating.

Finals... that is it.. 1 weeks of hell because you find out, oh.. I was suppose to do that huh? then waiting for e-mail response back from a teacher when you have 200 hours of rendering time needed to be entirely done by Tuesday along with a review and a processes presentation.

Tuesday: "I need this project ready on Monday."

Thursday afternoon: "Is that project done yet? I need it tomorrow morning."

It's rather difficult to prioritize my work when someone else changes their deadlines on me.

Being a quitter

Feeling a bit nervous about tomorrow.

I can't hear out of my left ear. It's really annoying! My directional hearing is all wonked up...

My mouse died. RIP Buddy, the odd little feeder mouse with one ear bigger than the other, who loved cheezies and squeaked with delight every time he got them, who was a pain in the butt and no one wanted when I first brought him home. In some ways he brought my family together, and was always there for me. He moved with me when I left my home a few weeks ago, and now he's gone...

My grandmother is desperately trying to send $1500 to scammers, after already giving them at least $1000 earlier this week. Every one of her friends and her entire family telling her not to do it isn't going to stop her, and neither did the police officer who talked to her for an hour about it and who had to stand in front of the cab she called and physically stop her from going to wire more money.

It's now a race to clear out every bit of money she has access too before she does, so we can put it somewhere safe instead of having it go to Costa Rica.

I'm so seriously tempted to drive to her house and smash the hell out of her phone with a baseball bat so she can't call cabs and call her goddamn retirement accounts and so scammers don't call her every five minutes.

that is just wrong! How old is your grandma? it sounds like she really should have someone else with power of attorney so that she cannot go spending all her money like that.. I am sorry but people who prey on others (specially older people like that!) need to go die in a fire.

Both of her children have PoA, but it's the weekend and proving difficult to empty her bank accounts. They're (hopefully) working on having her legally deemed incompetent so she can stop signing retarded contracts and digging herself into more and more of a hole, but they waited too long for this and it's biting them in the ass.
