Which leads into my (significantly more selfish!) rant: Valentine's Day is love tax. If I buy you crap for your birthday and Christmas, why am I obligated to spend a third day of the year squandering my soft-earned cash on cardboard and sugar? Jim Beam ain't cheap.

I love Cadbury eggs! The best part of Easter, IMO, is that it preceeds the unofficial holiday called, "Half-off Candy Day."

With all this half-price candy, how do you fit indoors?

I go the gym, of course. The entire reason I exercise is so I can enjoy all the half-price candy I want without turning into a complete blimp. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother with exercising.

Believe me, I can't get dates with men OR women when you take the internet out of the equation. According to some people, long-distance relationships aren't real at all anyway. (I disagree, obviously.)

Even with a significant other though, I have never cared one lick about Valentine's Day. Who caaaaaaaares? It is a fakey fake day for getting money from people who feel inadequate if they don't live up to silly gift-buying expectations. It should not be making you sad.

This is my first Valentine's day in 14-15 years that I'm not at least seeing someone. I suppose I should be depressed but the rest of my life is going so well it would feel wrong to complain about that particular thing.


Anyway. I'm sick of snow. It is impeding the stuff I need to get done at work. I just got back into this game and work is about to get so busy I'll be too tired to think about playing. And I have to find time to move into the new house at the end of the month. I also have a meeting this week with my boss and the district bigwigs. I look forward to spring when I'll be so busy I wont have time to be stressed.
