I wouldn't be too surprised if they were leftover from something and he put them there and totally forgot they existed, except... but see I'm kind neurotic. The thoughts that go through my head are something like "Oh man what if he got those ahead of time for some party like for a bunch of kids and had an exact amount so that each kid would get one and then I ate one and one kid doesn't get a muchkin? o__O"
Pfft. If that were the case he shoulda put them in the fridge or put a note on them saying, "Don't eat this!" Plus, wouldn't he have said something to you about holding a party for a bunch of kids? Also, honestly, it's not like he couldn't get more if he really needed to. Eeeeeat theeeeem!

That was just the most ridiculous scenario that went through my head, and you are a horrible temptressss. Dx

My brother's girlfriend was made well aware of the fact that anything left unattended is free game. It's a nice rule, since she leaves stuff here all the time.

I made a fool of myself at lab today. I couldn't do basic math and completely screwed up my experiment. To make things worse, the experiment was supposed to troubleshoot a similar one so I screwed up on trying to fix a screw up. I have put my supervisor through living hell and I don't even understand how she tolerates me. At one point, I *knew* that I wanted to major in biochem and do research for a living, but I feel so incompetent.

I am now taking a mild SSRI for anxiety and depression. It will take a while for it to actually take effect, as these things do, but of course I am already being hit by the side effects of it. Small things mostly. The dry mouth is particularly irritating, especially since it got me in the middle of class. Eeugh.
I'll be scheduling an appointment with a therapist to start regularly seeing them soon, and in a month I have to go get my thyroid levels tested. Sigh.
I emailed my manager at Dunkin Donuts explaining the situation, and I am letting them make the decision on if they still want me as an employee understanding the state of affairs as they are now. If they keep me on, I'll do my best to cope with the anxiety. If they let me go, I'll just keep looking for work elsewhere.

If they fire you over it, then they've commited a felony. You're not allowed to discriminate against people with disabilities, and that includes anxiety disorders...

Congrats for taking that first step. There are many more steps to take but eventually you'll find those steps carry you through life.

Only if the disability in question doesn't interfere with your ability to do the job. An anxiety disorder would most certainly interfere with a customer service job. If they're able to accommodate her, such as giving her responsibilities that don't involve interacting with customers, then they should do so. Chances are they won't, though.
@Phoebus: I'm really proud of you! Talking to a therapist seems like a small thing, but it will really help having someone to talk to who won't be judging you. You should defiantly ask him/her about what sorts of jobs you should be looking for, because customer service is a terrible place for you, in my opinion. I have a cousin who gets debilitating migraines at random times, which made her unable to hold down a job because she'd have to go home in the middle of a shift all the time. Now, she cleans small businesses and old ladies houses, which she can do at any time of day, so her migraines don't interfere. You just have to think creatively and come up with something you can do that won't trigger your anxiety. Your therapist should be able to help you with that.

I spent today being a one-woman editor army and singlehandedly saved our newspaper from sucking this week. Everyone else had broken bones/gotten drunk over Valentine's Day/was just slacking. I swear to god. If people knew how to use commas, the world would be a better place. And quotations. And proper sentence structure. And correct pronoun use. And correct tense use. And...and...
I blame this disappointment in humanity for my listening to Ke$ha for two hours nonstop.
