I was having annoying itchy eye issues, and while pawing at my eyes like it's going to help even though I know it's futile, a jagged edge on one of my nails sliced right into the edge of my bottom eyelid. The pain is terrible.

I'm pretty sure I have an infection in my eyelid. (regular cuts don't tend to look like someone punched you in the face). My doctor's office isn't open until Monday. With any luck the pain, or at the very least the swelling will go down over the weekend so I don't have to deal with it like it is right now the whole time. In the meantime I've fashioned a ghetto eyepatch out of some gauze and medical tape. I look like a total tool.
Hmm, I was going to make potato salad this weekend, but I need to get more potatoes. I think...I think I'll take the eyepatch off when I go to the store.

You should at least make the most of the situation and get a pirate costume, and go around as a pirate until its healed.

In better news, the swelling has gone down a lot. I'm hoping it may have just been irritated by something and isn't infected. Still, if it's not healed/healing by Monday, I still plan on heading to the doctor to at least get it checked out.
