ARGH. Two weeks ago, I bought new lenses for my glasses, since my eyes have gotten worse. They were suppose to come in several days ago. They came in only today. Fine. We go to get the lenses ground and stuff to fit the frames. We wait. Half an hour later, they go, erm, they were ground wrong, we have to re-order them. OY. Annoying. I'm still stuck with my old not very useful glasses, and have to wait another two weeks for lenses again. Sigh.
I've never had to wait that long for lenses... same day or a few days at most.

When I can, and remember to, I help keep the mudlet wiki updated, and for the past week or so, there have been a constant barrage of spam bots creating spam pages, and so now, instead of me checking up and editing every other day, or every few days, there's now the constant need to check the wiki every few hours for these spam pages. The checking isn't that big of a pain, it's the constant spam.

I think I'll go hide in the library and work on meeting-related things.

I think i just stumbled upon a anomaly. The government rejected my money....................................
So I sent in my application for my concealed firearms permit a couple weeks back. Included in the envelope was a check written out for the $65.25 fee required by the state of Utah(according to the paperwork). I just received in the mail, my rejected application and the check on the grounds that the check was written for too high of an amount, with a request to resend it with a check for only $60.00. It just seems too weird to see the government say 'NO! You paid too much! We won't accept it!'
Now I have to buy another manila envelope and postage to send it back with a check for the corrected amount(i guess the original paperwork was outdated). I wish they would have just cashed the check. It's almost worth the extra $5.25 not to have the hastle of remailing it and waiting longer. Or if they really don't want the extra money, just give it back to me in my tax refund next year........................
Rant # 2: I wish we had a zero tolerance policy for jerks at the gas station. I think if you're going to be an to the cashier, you deserve whatever rudeness is returned to you. Earlier today, my manager was almost in tears when she arrived because she is beginning the difficult process of a divorce, so she's pretty shaken up. About 10 minutes after she arrives, she is ringing up a an elderly gentleman. She was very polite and helpful to him the whole time, and then when she said "THank you, have a nice day sir", he said "Go to hell" and walked away, flipping her the bird. Needless to say, in her emotional state, she was pretty hurt by it. If ever there is a time you want to grab an old man's cane and beat him with it..........................

My wrists have just been... aching horribly lately. Means I'm not around doing as much, which I feel bad about. I'm here, just... idle.

Yeah, don't trip on any cats and land on your wrist like an idiot like I did. My right hand will never be the same. Because of CATS. DX
Also, this is what I came to this thread to complain about. My current weather forecast. I direct your attention to the "feels like" section of the temperature.

Yay, the rest of the country gets to share what I put up with for four days!

Actually, I'm finding this rather amusing. I didn't get to play football today because of it, but even so, the weather hasn't bothered me that much, and its nice to know that this is about as bad as it gets as far as heat in maryland goes. If it doesn't bother me now, then I'm going to be good this summer. Kind of dreading the AC bill though, its been running nearly 2 hours straight and the temperature has dropped 2 whole degrees.

I have a deep, burning hatred in my soul for my internet company. Words cannot express it, and if they could, I'd be postbanned for saying them. Every time there's thunder and lightning storms, my internet goes out. It holds out until I've launched and bombard and then BAM NO MORE INTERNET 4 U FOR AN HOUR. I nearly cried. I never get to do aetherflares.

Yyyyeeeep. That's an unfortunately common problem. Happened to me last summer.

It's regularly over 100+ around here. The other day it hit 115. I've been making sure both my bedroom and car A/C are functioning really well.

My sister recently moved into a new apartment, and the AC broke the first week she was there. They still haven't come to fix it, despite all the heatwaves and warnings and such. She's going on about a week of not having AC. She calls me a lot to complain about it! I keep telling her she can come over and just use our house for its internet (also still not in) and air, but she is all dead set on being independent. She lives like 5 minutes away.
