Rant for having to drive to work through this hurricane/tropical storm. Hooray for being essential personnel..

Good time for streetsailing.

The RNG gods are bastards. >:( As much as I appreciate getting rare mounts to drop, let alone winning them, it would be really nice if they would drop on the character I really *want* them on. Three mounts have dropped for three separate characters. Only one of them am I extremely likely to active to play. The other to are a bit miffy. damnit jim.

That would be a rave for me. I LOVE driving through inclement weather. The more inclement, the better.

I am dissatisfied with my health. Just got out of hospital yesterday, started turning yellow. They thought it was gallstones, turns out it's either an auto-immune disease (most likely due to my mom having a bunch of them), but they're not ruling anything out so they say it could also be pancreatic cancer... Fun times.
I'm not too annoyed with that, though, both the options are treatable, what annoys me is how damn much the jaundice makes me ITCH. They put a piece of plastic in to open up my bile duct and relieve it but it'll take several days and after a week of itching like mad... My entire body is littered with cuts, scratches and scabs from where I've been itching. T.T

I might end up going crazy. Usually I can handle not having my laptop, but since acquiring a large number of ebooks and since Doctor Who is starting back up, my iPod just isn't enough to stave off boredom.

I play halo with Razenth and find myself sitting in a pile of red powder. So Rusty.

Still no power. >:-

Power was out for almost a whole day and I didn't get more than 2 hours of sleep for the entire time of it. I'm going to go collapse any minute now. Just need to check...a few...more...things...

Forgot I had enrolled in an online business class and just got an email saying I got a 0 on the first assignment.......

Having to have everything packed up a week before I move, cause I'm visiting. Blar.

Two of my courses have an online component. One of them had an invalid code packaged with my book, and the other one was deleted by my teacher so no one new can register. Why did I bother paying for these?

Ugh, no matter what I do to my Lexus, it is still getting terrible gas mileage. I'm averaging 13 mpg. I'm going to be broke soon if I keep driving it. Luckily I'm able to get by right now walking to classes and only drive if I need to go to the store or visit a friend. I would like to sell it and get something with better mpg(or at least more powerful for that MPG range), but I'd be upside down selling it this soon........

Hope you guys get your power and Internet connection back soon.

Got an eye exam sprung on me by parents this morning. *vision blurring from drops* Little more warning would have been appreciated.
I should be grateful I'm still covered by insurance though.

Missed much of XP weekend due to Hurricane Irene and power outages. Thank god for mobile mud apps, otherwise I would have been blocked out entirely.

Sitting in Microeconomics right now, and I just made an idiot of myself. I found myself in need of a piece of paper. Reached into my backpack which was sitting in the chair next to mine. Started to notice there was a lot of unfamiliar stuff in the bag. Suddenly somebody started tapping my wandering hand with a pen. I look up and it was the dude sitting on the other side of the bag. For some reason I still didn't get it. I was thinking 'What does this dude want?' After a couple seconds of confused looks being exchanged between the two of us, I glanced at the floor behind the chair and noticed MY bag.

While the flooding here did only minimal damage to my office, my wife's office is a total loss. Steel doors twisted off hinges, entire building submerged 6', everything in it destroyed, furniture, computers, personal possessions, everything. They're going to have to gut the whole building and rebuild it from scratch (maybe even raze it). The devastation is pretty thorough and no one knows what's going to happen next. She lost a lot of personal effects too (we're hoping that her bicycle can be salvaged but it's just sheer luck).
Unknown2011-08-29 23:58:09
Sorry to hear about the damage.
We were lucky that it was down to a tropical storm by the time it hit the border/came into the Maritimes. Some heavy wind and rain, lost power. Still no power in our section of town, but power mostly everywhere's else. Heard a lot of transformers blew. I think probably the most damage that occurred was a local horse barn burned to the ground from a fire sparked from the transformer. One very brave neighbour chased the horses out - saved all but 3. Anyway, that's my ramble for the internet world. Hope we get power on by midnight like we're supposed to. Going to work without a shower =! cool.
