Just hang up, and when she calls back, the convo will go like this:

"Did you just hang up on me!?"
"I don't know...did it sound like this?"

Lawliet:

Ah, but you win it by putting the phone down and walking away :P

Unlike most people who can rage hangup, I could lose my job for that.

I got blood on the ceiling! I had to stand on a chair to clean it off. :(

How does one... nope, nevermind, not asking.

My dissatisfaction--I woke up early on my day off so that a painter could come finishing fixing a spot, but said painter was late. I could have used that sleep :( . Plus, it was a wicked killer dream.

I was supposed to have my day off on Wednesday. I agreed to switch shifts with someone so I had Thursday off. It turns out work called my MOTHER (no, not even me... I mean, do you really think my mother still rules my life?) to see where I was, just because someone didn't do something right. Now I am possibly facing penalties from work for "not showing up." Meh.

Time to tell your boss where to shove it.

I had that happen once....it was part of my employment agreement that I had all sunday's off. Well, for 3 weeks in a row, my manager kept putting me on the sunday schedule, and I kept having to get it taken off. Well, the last time she refused to take it off. She wanted me to work on sunday specifically because of my religion, and if I wanted my job, I better show up. I went off on a 5 minute rant and pissed her off pretty good, and I told her I would not be coming to work on Sunday, regardless of the schedule. Sure enough, I didn't go, and I got a call from her halfway through the day asking where I was. I just said "Are you f###ing retarded? I said I'm not coming today'. Went in to work the next day and it was like nothing had ever happened, lol. But the best part was that another kid who knew I was going to ditch work that day decided to ditch work too, on the same day. He got canned.

Make your boss fear you......

Make sure you get things in writing.

Well, considering most hourly jobs are employment-at-will, there isn't much of a contract to work out....

Depends on your state I guess, but still. Paper trails are important.

Anyhow, don't really matter now, I quit that job in April of 2007 and haven't looked back.

Eh. I work for a big company (though we get the short end of the stick as being an outsourcer). I get my hours in at the end of the week and that is honestly the most important thing to them. :/

Nexus page refuses to load here at the library. :( Might be because they finally updated their crappy IE.

Rest in peace, Andy Rooney :(

Someone who always said what he thought regardless of whether or not it was politic or popular, and didn't worm about trying to fit in. Something of whatever is left of the nobler aspect of journalism died with him.

Edit: My whiny, childish bitter was showing.

I love my class, so why have I been dreading going in this week for the past few days? What's the deal, anxiety? Why are you hellbent on making me afraid of the things that I like? I don't understand. How am I ever supposed to have a life past my computer if everything else I enjoy fills me with a sense of dread?

It's that end-semiester dread. Oh god what do I need to do I only have two weeks.

Nah, it happens with everything that involves me leaving the house, eventually.

My rant: the way Unity handles multiple windows in one application is absolutely awful. Definitely considering giving KDE a try.

Hence why I never upgraded.
