85F is nothing. It's regularly in the 100's here too. Of course, if that 85F is in 100% himidity, then that truly is hell.
2 of my 3 roommates moved out today, leaving me and my remaining roommate to clean the apartment before apartment checks tomorrow. And when I say me and my remaining roommate, I really mean me. He played words with friends on FB all day. I scrubbed the floors, the bathrooms, and the kitchen. The house is spotless now after a long day of work. I finally kicked him into gear at the end of the day. I think he cleaned the stairs. I don't understand how he gets through the ROTC. He shows absolutely no inclination towards leadership or self-discipline.

I live for the winter. I <3 cold days that let me stack up on warm clothing and enjoy the complete lack of insectoid life. Warm weather makes me very sad.

I used to love cold weather, but spending 2 years in the Philippines destroyed that for me. Now I prefer mildly hot.

This, but also because in England in the Winter everything's frozen, but at least it's dry. In Summer, as it is now, everything's just wet.

Our frozen winters are great!

I enjoyed the English winter, but nothing beats a proper Canadian one.. though they don't happen really where I live now. :( Cursed Toronto microclimate.

Well, I think i've had a change of heart. The A/C in my Lexus died on me yesterday(or is at least playing dead, the little bastard). Now I want out of this burning hellhole. I love everything about St. George, Utah except for the summer heat. It is 97 right now, and it is only going to go up from there.
And yes, I'm very pissed about my A/C. I understand the car is 20 years old, but for a car that retailed for $50,000 brand new, the A/C should last at least as long as the competition. This car has been babied it's whole life and only has 120,000 miles on it. Everything else we own has many more miles than that and the A/C still works great(except for our work truck). Toyota executives, If you can hear my voice, ***** you!

We get 100s in summer too. It's only spring so far. :C
Not in Texas, spring/fall is that two weeks where it rains between the hot and cold seasons. Though we have had a longer than normal spring this time around, with plenty of rain, the hot weather started a week or so ago for me.

Except in those parts of Texas that have two weeks between the hot season and that one week when it freezes (the cold season).

WTF is up with the rain lately? Like...so weird! it should've gotten hot as hell awhile ago, but instead we're getting thunderstorms and stuff ><
Enyalida2012-05-17 07:47:48
No kidding. And entirely sudden too. One minute fine, the next minute there is thunder, a minute after a rainstorm blows through like no one's business.
Ssaliss2012-05-17 07:53:00
I blame .

How do I still have jalepeno residue on my hands 11 hours later after washing them three times and then sleeping aaaa my eye.
Lendren2012-05-17 12:30:01
Rinse your hands with lemon juice. Soap doesn't do very much because it's the wrong chemical type (base instead of acid). Lemon juice takes it right off.

Last projects of the semester due tomorrow (TODAY) and I'm still just sitting around refusing to work on them. COME ON. WHY. WHAT. STOP IT!

Dad: Hey we're going out to dinner with aunt uncle and cousins from out of state at 7, want to come.
Me: I haven't seen them in years, alright.
We arrive a liitle late because my mom has to do something just as we plan to leave. Call to see where they are.
Cousin: Oh my mom had to use the bathroom so we're leaving just now.
20 minutes later call them again.
Uncle: We got stuck in traffic. Another half hour.
Blaaaaaah I don't even like these people, I only went because my mom complains that I never go with her when she drives half way down the coast to visit them.
In the course of writing this they were called again. They are in the general area, but got lost. -_-

Well that was a long and depressing ride home.

It would seem that instead of kicking the soda addiction, I have now become addicted to MANGO MOUNTAIN DEW.
