GGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I feel a little bit better, except not really.

Boo to lazy coworkers that leave all of the work for me to do when I'm already picking up slack from another coworker being on vacation.

Phoebus:

Gad, I only wish I lived on my own, but that's not possible for a variety of reasons. My mom is way too lenient to throw her any of us out. Which usually works for me! But not in this case.

Yeah, it's a very small townhouse and the bedrooms aren't large enough to accommodate all the baby things. The basement was literally the only place we could fit her and all of her stuff, and we had to move a lot of things out for it.

...

Blah, I don't really want to turn this into "let's just talk about how annoyed Phoebus is over this sister/baby stuff all the time", but I don't have anywhere else to complain about it that my sister won't see! Sorry. I'll try to bring it up less. :( It's just what happens to be dominating my life at the moment.

I'm going to throw things in the other direction for a moment and suggest that you might find things a bit better if you started paying attention to the infant. If he is crying, walk him, change him, feed him, etc. It sounds like your sister isn't interested in paying attention when it isn't convenient for her, and it's not as though ignoring it is something you can easily do. Odds are all he wants is a bit of attention, and he'll settle back down before you know it.

You might find the little bugger grows on you. ;)

I gotta admit I agree with this. It may be an inconvenience to some, but a youngling CAN be enjoyable to be around, it's a pity that your sister is apparently not interested in giving him the attention he wants/needs. Give it a try the next time he starts crying.

Quite! I'm not going to be able to manage much more than a peculiarly low monotone for most of the day by the looks of things.

Someone at work looked at me and said, "What, was that a failed suicide attempt?"

Like it was a joke. It was in regards to a bandage on my arm which was from a burn, which is besides the point.

He has no idea how much that hurts, considering how I've been feeling for a while and the fact that I have just started to come out of that rut I was in.

Or flush the kid down the toilet.

You're alright.

Oh, I do help when I'm right there; it's mostly an annoyance and a problem when I'm in my room attempting to sleep and doing so would involve dragging myself out of bed, waking up entirely, and shuffling to wherever she is, when there are multiple other people in the house who are awake and closer. That's when I get annoyed.

Suicide comments are never a joking matter. Just a couple of days ago someone tried to kill themself at the university I go to by flinging themself off a building that was under construction from the 12th floor. Amazingly they survived but are in critical condition.

Granted I'm largely speaking from personal experience, I love spending time with my nieces and while I tend to spoil them when I can, I also make sure they know what is and is not acceptable (one is getting to that age when they 'test the waters', so to speak)

I prefer the skin, deep fried and lightly salted... Yum!

There is no excuse for this sort of behavior, and I'm sorry you had to experience it. Unfortunately, people are very ignorant, and it's impossible for a great deal of them to understand the devastating state of being it takes for someone to even consider suicide. There's this preconceived notion that it is 'selfish' or 'attention-seeking' to do so, and it makes society insensitive to the very real, very painful ordeal that those considering suicide go through. My heart goes out to you, and I do hope you don't let one thoughtless comment from a thoughtless person ruin your day.

Oh well, guess it's time to spend more time on the laptop. Please don't get the virus also laptop. I'll be very unhappy then.

Avoid the really kinky porn sites, they're probably your culprit.
Shulamit2012-07-20 06:40:00
I don't visit any porn sites, thank you very much :/
