Juneau's not a great test: it's in the trade winds and thus usually warrmer than Boston, for instance. I lived there for five years. Try using Fairbanks, Nome, or Barrow for a comparison more like what you're probably thinking of.

somehow, a sound effect thingy played while I was using my laptop. I know for a fact that I had nothing like it saved in my computer. It played once and stopped. It sounded like a guy roaring. It just played all of a sudden and POOF. No music/media player even opened. I was just reading something over the net while it happened, too. Ghosts! Meh. This is what I get for staying up till 4am.

So, I'm supposed to be at home in Connecticut in three days. I was packing all this morning while staring at my laptop screen and playing Lusternia as usual. Everything is fine until I finish and fly out the door to my friends room down the hall. I knock on the door, no answer. I slam both my hands on the door really loud, since she's a really bad drinker and might of passed out. Still no answer and the door is locked. Someone comes down the hall and starts glaring at me for making so much noise, then abruptly tells me that she left last night.

You might be wondering what the problem is or you might of guessed right off. I have no car down here and she was my ride. Yes, I am stranded at an all girls catholic school with no way to get home for christmas except to wait for my brother to come down from Colorado and pick me up. Now I get to listen to a lecture for god knows how long on the way up there and feel terrible because he has to go out of his way to get me. Not to mention his wife hates me and his children of evil. The balance of my life strikes again.

I don't need to be told this by the man who's currently on Probation at his job, is STILL smoking despite saying he'll quit once every two weeks DESPITE the fact that his brother just died and precancerous growths had to be removed from his mouth. Really. When I need an arrogant prick, I'll be SURE to give him a call, but right now I'm kind of busy FIXING THE PROBLEMS he wants me to fix. On my own. As in, before he decided to waste an hour telling me just how tired he is of lecturing me.

So, I need to finish a movie to be used for tonight's party and movie maker is being an idiot.
