All through today I have had to sleep in the bath tub.

I share a room with my sibling. I don't call it my room, it's basically my bed in the corner. No, screaming does not get me anywhere. Nor does reasonable debate. Both of these involve petitioning the parents, by the way. He's upstairs, with the lights on, playing his laptop, with the television on, and music in the background. At all possible times of the day. I came home exhausted, having not slept last night, and immediately desired to crash. I couldn't. The parents just refuse to listen to me, anymore, nor do they listen to how unreasonable this is.

Ok, an hour of privacy a day, and that's only on the walk to and from school. I can, somewhat, cope with this. But not this. If someone wants a few hours of quiet for sleep time, I would happily accommodate them. This is ridiculous. I have college applications to work on and I'm sleeping in the god damn bath tub. I'm starting to wonder if my high school life actually would have been better off if I started living alone, or simply elsewhere, away from these people. Even if it meant getting a job. At least then I learn how to be self-sufficient. I worked for a friend of my mother's and she's got plenty of nice places she's practically willing to give me. This is insane. I want quiet, I want sleep, I want to get out of here as soon as possible.

Really feeling bummed lately. Just been having life throw one thing after another at me lately.

My grandfather's got cancer. He's 81 and we all knew something like this was coming, so it's not really a big shock, but it still sucks. He's opting out of chemotherapy and done fighting (his wife died in 2003, and he's never really been the same since) so it's only a matter of time until he dies - I doubt he's gonna last out more than a few months.

Heats off (hi Canada!), muddy water from "water repairs", wonky internet that disconnects every so often.. So half of what I pay for works, the other half doesn't. Maybe I should petition for half rent.

No water. Snow and ice are pretty but they are pain in the butt when your pipes are frozen and the council turn off your water. Not to mention that the roads are a death trap when you want to go out, our road is apparently private so the council won't come up here and put out stuff on the roads to make it non-slippy. GRRRR.
