Sounds like your anti-virus software took extreme measures.

A 25man in WoW can out-do most games on the market today. Sure, it's old graphics, but when you have so much going on at once, even the best of computers will show a bit of strain.

Mine didn't... and I was in the thick of things as all 4 of my 80s. :/
EDIT: General Dissatisfaction - I would not mind playing WoW again, but I know it will be a boring, unfun experience again when I do resub.

Woke up to nearly three feet of snow outside and texts from my boyfriend saying he doesn't know if our relationship is working. Fun.

Ouch, do you still have warranty on it?

I know, my fps in 25 man is about 5-6. However, the graphics card is old as it was from my brother's computer, which in turn is like 5 years old so it was a hand-me-down but better than the crap my dad had put in originally. Of course the fps problem might also be related to the fact I somehow only have 2gb(i think that's how much it is atm)memory in the computer when I should have around 4. Fortunately for me, my father (<3) has bought a new graphics card and is trying to see what's up with the memory.

Nah, we got them near release time, warrenty ran out ages ago.
Jack2010-02-08 02:28:37
Isn't the warranty massively extended if it's a manufacturing error? Mine was out of warranty when it red-ringed, but the fact it was a red-ring meant I got a free fix.

Iirc if you get a red-ring you can send it in and they will fix it and possible give you extended warranty. I know a friend of mine has RR like 3 of them and sent all three in to get fixed.

I hate it when people make you hope for the best when all along there was no chance of achieving the best. I'd really rather have them say things straight to my face...Outright rejection is better than getting disappointed later on.

Don't worry. It's going to be GREAT.... soon... in a little while... later.

Man, don't look at it like that. They were probably either trying to put a brave face on things, or else spare your feelings. Don't assume people are setting you up for disappointment, you'll get low self esteem or something.

Taxes make me hate people with kids and poor people. I'm not the type to be overly mean to people but hearing that my friends parent got seven grand back just because she can pop out kids like Godzilla can destroy buildings make me angry. I was at the grocery store today and saw some lady buying all kinds of food with her access card and I'm sitting there with a handful of change to buy my hot dogs and hot dog sauce, so I started yelling at her and her kids to get a f-ing job.

Have you forgotten that we have an excessively bloated unemployment rate right now?
Also, I bet that person spends far more than 7k on those kids every year. Clothing, food, and don't forget college in the future. At least, if that friend's parent is at all trying to be a good parent.
Also: What about those people who bought a house this year? There's an 8k tax rebate out there just for buying a house!

I got back from my study abroad on Friday in the middle of a snowstorm to find out that my computer had contracted an incredibly potent virus. Not only was it surreptiously stealing sequences from me, but it locked me out of any and all programs that would let me fix it (Spybot, Adaware, antivirus, etc). I couldn't even do a system restore or start my computer in safe mode. I ended up needing to format my hard drive and spent 8 hours stuck in front of my screen or on a screen making my computer work again.
On the bright side, my computer now runs faster than it has in years!
