Margaery Kempe...MARGAERY KEMPE! I'm sure that those who have read her autobiography know my pain, but for those who haven't, here's a brief synopsis:
...
This book was an absolute nightmare to read...gosh darned renaissance history class

Yes. She's thoroughly unlikeable.
See if you can side-step her for Julian of Norwich and the Cloud poet.

I hate it when people do really horrible things to important things of yours ICly and go off and apologize OOCly and try to reason their actions on with the personal IC circumstances and get into a hissy fight OOC-wise and can't even handle it and end up snubbing you, with the bottom line of, after some time...
LOL.
LOL.
ongaku2010-04-17 04:00:09
I really hate when something happens to my character that I have no control over that significantly impacts his story, and it doesn't even happen ICly, and then I get called horrible because I've done something to impact the person who impacted my character, in an IC fashion. Not to mention getting called "emo" because I'm upset that something happened that I had no control over. Aside from that, the fact remains that if my character hadn't done said thing, someone else certainly would have.
Meh. It's in the past. I've moved on, was hoping other people could as well.

Rhode Island sucked. I wait 7 years to go up and see my family again and everyone's drunk and miserable and everyone hates everyone.
It's like I never left.

Nexus still doesn't work, nor does the flash thingy, and I'm all sad. I can't snuggle with my baby kitten, since we have friends over, and that makes her hide, and not like snugglies. I'd play my shiny new ds, but I've been playing it non-stop. I guess I could go to bed, but I have to wait for said guys to finish game so I can get something to eat.
I know my rants are silly and not all that bad, but it's all I got to rant abouts

How about a new shiny client like Mudlet?
Shulamit2010-04-18 05:18:04
But I like Nexus! It's all purty, and so easy to use to write up designs. I've tried designing in other mud thingies, not as easy.

I missed the Eventru-Lyreth Special Moment.

I'm simply going to say I desperately need a job and leave it at that.

It is extremely hard to keep playing Phoebus as in a good mood while I myself am going through something of a bad depressive slump. Having myself feeling nearly physically ill at the idea of even typing the word "romp" is surely not a good thing for the poor girl's image.
Shoo, life, shoo! I am trying to do something here.

Oh, I feel your pain. For my mother's side of the family, that's the perfect description, minus the "drunk" part (mostly) plus something at the end. I'm not mocking in any way, I'm completely serious:
"D.C. and northern Virginia sucked. I wait 3 years to go up and see my family again and everyone's miserable and everyone hates everyone. And then there were the bad parts...."
It's crazy. Latest example: My maternal grandmother died recently, and one of my aunts (who lives an upper-middle-class lifestyle) has essentially pilfered most of the inheritance. My mother and her brother (my uncle) aren't going to do anything about it, because it's just not worth the pain and they don't obsess over money.
And then there are the bad parts of that situation. Yes, it gets worse than even that, but I will abstain from mentioning details.
(I try to take all this in stride and not dwell on it, though.)
Shiri2010-04-19 03:30:23
Yep, 1/5 of my father's side of the family made off with an entire farm, amongst other stuff, and it certainly hasn't gone well ever since. Mother's side is nice and happy though.

Since getting my job, I'm spending entirely too much money on credits.
I blame Eventru.

I learned early on in life that as soon as there is competition for significant resources (money, property) or power (political or otherwise), most human beings toss their veneer of civility aside like a piece of trash, and socially devolve tens of thousands of years -- back to that distant era when we hooted and screeched, beat our chests, flung feces, and bashed each other with animal thighbones... all over a filthy watering hole the size of a puddle.
Sadly, extended families are rarely (if ever) immune to this sort of behavior.

Since coming back to Lusternia, I'm doing the same thing. :< Though mine have gone about as equally towards the lesson packages. >< Those were so freaking convenient, dammit.

you know you can use the first few letters in someone's name to send them a tell, right? so anyone with mi, or mir, could be the culprit.

Never saw any mir's... and half the time the closest I can find is an me.

Try asking them OOC to whom they meant to send the tell, with the qualification that you've been receiving a lot more mis-tells than usual lately.
I wonder how many people get frequent mis-tells? It may be worth suggesting an increase of 1 to the minimum number of characters needed for abbreviated tell addressees.
