I'm getting really bad anxiety about going into work lately, a mixture of being unable to work with someone and still being uncomfortable working with a broken piece of equipment that has hurt me. This doesn't help when your boss keeps calling and asking even when you've said no. sad.gif

Feeling anxious and worried over Lusternia, a freaking game, again. ~_~ I really hate feeling like I can't play my character properly. I know I shouldn't care what other people think about my RP, but if I don't care, then I will probably end up not having people to RP with.

Perhaps trying to fix the n'Kylbars was a bad idea, because now I'm just fretting over what everyone who's already in the family thinks about me. sleep.gif Just looking forward to getting home and being able to post my clarification news post, and hoping that no one's already trying to contest me over misconceptions from the previous one.

I don't know if it's because my tutor is useless, the materials are totally incomplete or I'm failing miserably in some way but where I get almost straight As writing up to the word limit in politics, philosophy and psychology, as soon as I start economics I'm struggling to meet -50%- of the word limits. 50%!!! My writing style in essays is pretty brusque but even considering that something is going wrong here as evidenced by the fact that I'm getting high Cs in the best case scenario here and I don't even know what I'm missing.

Ugh. I had the best teacher in the town for economics back in sixth form, too, but I forgot everything I learnt there in the intervening years.

I have 13 exams in the summer (more than twice the amount of anyone else I know) and it's getting ever so slightly ridiculous.

I burned my waffle yesterday, but today is a new breakfast.

OU material can vary a lot even within a subject. With my two courses last year, one was brand new and the other had been running for a decade or more. I was getting 95%+ in the new Quantum Mech one but struggled to get to 78% overall in Spacetime and Cosmology. The difference in the quality of material was huge. Not that I ever did... but the OU does always say its there to give extra support. Aside from your tutor have you got anything called a pathway tutor? (I have and they are supposed to offer additional support) Will it impact your overall grade?

To add my own rant: I have completely lost motivation for studying, including my two (supposedly final) OU courses for this year. I have a French class that started 5 minutes ago and I would rather surf the internet and post in forums than attend it. Sigh.

I can't help you, but I'll throw Paul at you if you want, he just got his MBA and should still have a clue about Economics.

Found out today that the date for hearing about redundancies is next Tuesday and I now know there is a minimum of 1 person going from our dept, just remains to find out who! This is great though, because I will probably be half way up a Welsh mountain and if it's me I can throw myself off the top tongue.gif I wonder if I will get mobile reception at the top of Snowdon?

I hate taking medicine...thankfully these run out in just a couple days, since they were merely prescribed after my little hospital visit, but I still dislike the whole experience of it. Don't know why, but I'm incredibly paranoid about things that mess with the way my body works.

All of the fun people I like to hang out and RP with never seem to come around anymore sad.gif .

Nope, I don't have a pathway tutor, nor have I heard anything about that. I think it will affect my overall grade but I should end up with the equivalent of a B as it's over, so I can live with that. It's just frustrating not knowing where to start asking questions since philosophy and politics are really interesting and I suspect economics could provide some interesting insights too if I was capable of approaching it correctly.

Except it's Ev's family smile.gif -- moving wouldn't make a difference, they'd still not be there.

I was on Lucan looking for you a little bit ago. :< Though I suppose you're in bed now.

I'll be around tomorrow though. wub.gif Yay for it being my weekend!

And he can't move to Halli. His son is a Gaudi. I refuse to allow it!

So, large order of scrolls, awesome.

Rest of what happened in Lusternia earlier, no.
Lehki2010-04-29 21:06:23
So back before spring break, was going to go sign a lease for apartment to live off campus next semester, but turned out I had left my checkbook at home over winter break. I asked the lady and she said there would be plenty of space left for awhile after the break. I ended up having my wisdom teeth removed over the break, and was pretty out of it the first week back so didn't get back to her then. After that I had so much work I had to get done with the end of the semester nearing and around 2 weeks of not doing anything while on pain killers. When I finally did get around to calling her, she tells me that there are only 2 bed-room apartments left available. sleep.gif

Been trying to find somebody else to live with, or someplace else to stay besides going back to the old campus dorms that aren't filled yet, but not having any luck and starting to panic about it because going to need to explain all this to my parents soon.
Lillie2010-04-29 22:05:16
I'm kind of in the same situation as Lehki. I need a place to live, and the dorms aren't an option for this summer (contract only extends to july 3rd, classes go until the 20th), so I've been scrambling for a job...without any luck.
No job = no money = no apartment.
