I'm extra picky about my keyboards and mice. Like insanely picky.

A few years ago, I found a keyboard I absolutely loved. And better yet, it was a $19 el cheapo Microsoft keyboard. The right layout, the right clickiness, everything.

I bought three, so when the keyboard finally bit the dust, I'd be set for replacements.

I recently moved, and I have no idea where they are. I am SO sad.

Then I'm afraid you have no choice but to beat your cat or live in fear of it.

Pssh, I ain't afraid of that sucker. He is just sharp. So, so sharp. blackeye.gif

Have you considered having your local vet or groomer give him a nail trim? That's what I do with my cat; it's not cruel like de-clawing and it definitely helps. The vet I go to will do a complimentary nail trim whenever I bring my cat in for a checkup or blood tests.

It definitely cuts down on the scratching and getting claws stuck in things like towels, rugs and the carrier.

Yeah, my sister does it now and again. She used to work in a pet store so she knows what to do. Sadly, she tends to forget to do it... rolleyes.gif

Jeff honestly doesn't scratch very often. Even when he does attack, it tends to be the bitey-type. Still, when he does, it huuurts crying.gif

I say the cat disappears and you gain a stylish new hat.

I say shave him, put him in his place.

I know, right? You can get an awesome keyboard for literally $20-25. They last forever (until destroyed), feel great and function perfectly. I've never felt like I was "doing without" by purchasing cheap keyboards. Once you know you like a certain model, buy five, and you're set for a decade or two.

Mice are another story. The way my computer desk is, it has to be a wireless mouse (in my opinion), so I'm dealing with a somewhat higher price range. I've never destroyed a mouse, however... they tend to last me many years at a stretch.

I shall offer to be a test person, that is, if you thinks I am nice enough suspicious.gif

I've always wondered why Blizzard continues to charge for the base game and expansion sets, which taken together will run new players something like $50, not including Cataclysm. It seems as though 95% of their profits come from monthly fees, and perhaps they'd get more new players if there weren't such a heavy buy-in cost.

It's industry standard for older MMORPGs to charge nothing (or next to nothing) for the base game and all of its expansions. I guess Blizzard doesn't feel that's in their best interests, which means that either box sales account for a larger proportion of their profits than I'd thought, or they just plain don't wanna and don't hafta.

They do sort of do something like that which is the battle chests.

I went to the company picnic today, for a mere TWO HOURS, and my arms and the back of my legs are now fried. T_T This is what I get for wearing shorts, I guess.

Ugh, also doesn't help that the horse I was trail riding on decided to bolt ahead, and I've ridden horses all of two or three times previously. The first time she did that it felt like my hip joints popped out of place, it hurt so damn bad. D: And then to top it all off, I had pretentious horse people going, "Well, why didn't you do this? You mean you didn't do THIS?" The horse I was riding didn't have an instruction manual!!

What, you mean you didn't find the super-secret instruction manual hidden behind its left ear? I thought all horses had that!

An amusing... sorta, situation happened today.

I work at a gas station, so I have all sorts of customers comin' and goin'. One of the rules in place to protect the safety of us who work there is that no one is allowed to enter nor shop if they're wearing anything that covers their face, such as biker helmets. Usually, this ain't a big problem. If I ask someone to take of their helmet, they will.

Then there are those who'll make it to a huge problem, making it into a much bigger deal than the ten seconds you spend taking it off, and twenty seconds it takes to put it on. I had such a customer this thursday, who made it into such a big deal, he simply had to call the newspapers.

So this sunday, it's a small deal in the local gossip paper. So it was fun to hear one of my radio co-workers comment on the case... and quickly try to pull her foot from her mouth when I explained to her that, yes, a shop is allowed to place restrictions on who can enter, as long as it isn't based upon ethnicity.

On a more positive note, I had two customers comment positively on the matter today, and no negative comments, so I feel that I did the right thing. So that makes me happy at least.
