I'm sure referees make mistakes, but then so do players, which is one reason refs are needed.

Virus trouble, again, but because of several factors there's no way for me to get my computer fixed unless I take it to a professional, so for the moment unless I want pop ups every five seconds OR to be on a guest account and not be able to do anything of worth that computer might as well be dead to me.

On the downstairs computer now which is much, much better, but because it's expensive my mother doesn't let me on it, so as soon as she gets home she'll kick me off, never mind that I have an exam on Monday and that the stuff I need to revise isn't in my books...

Silver lining: I'm allowed to use the inheritance from my grand-dad to get a shiny new laptop, so I'll do that as soon as I get around to it, wont be good for Lusty but at least it'll work. Maybe it'll have word, too

If the screen resolution is significantly lower than a desktop you've previously been used to, it can concentrate the text spam and drastically reduce room for helpful GUI elements. Believe me, I know... I was using my mother's netbook for three weeks while I visited her. Blargh.

I'm not sure if that's Lawliet's reason, but it's a possibility.

Same here, shiny new laptops are way more powerful than what I was playing on two years ago and that was pretty good and my new baby holds up rather nicely, even with games (though portal hates my videocard)

So, yesterday at work I cut my thumb. It's one of those one that is hidden under a flap of skin so it doesn't scab over. I ended up opening it, without noticing, last night as I was brushing my teeth. Putting away everything, all I see is my thumb dripping and that was not cool.

Thank god for housemates being around cause I didn't have anything I could find for it.

Smaller keyboard, smaller screen, lower screen, crappy mouse, that sort of thing. I know I COULD plug it into a moniter, get a proper mouse and keyboard and basically make it function like a tower but then what's the point in having it as a laptop? Plus I wont be able to do that when I run off to university in a few months.

Am I the only person who likes using the touchpad on their laptop? Everyone I know plugs a mouse into theirs. I seem to be the only person I know who enjoys the touchpad.

I love my touchpad. I can use it extremely well, hell, I do better then most people with "precision" mice when I play video games. It just feels awkward to most because they aren't used to it.

That said, I would KILL for a trackball.

Sick again, for the second time in 2 weeks. I think it's a sinus infection. I'm determined to have perfect attendance at work this month though, so no calling in for me, no matter how miserable I feel. ><

I love mine personally, I always found a computer mouse the most awkward thing on the planet, I remember being told I'd never get far if I never learned to use an attachable mouse in WoW and I haven't had any problems yet.

Anyone who uses the trackpad on purpose is insane. Simple as that
