My rant:
Finding out that someone who you thought was only pretending to be mean ICly is actually really, REALLY mean in real life. Trying to confide in some friends over Skype, then getting told by said person that my guildmaster actually hates me and has confided in said person that guildmaster does.
This was probably one of the most hurtful things anyone has told me in a very, very long time, especially considering how hard I work for my guild and city. Said person and all of his/her/its alts are snubbed, and I won't be returning to Skype anytime soon. 
I'm now afraid to talk to my own guildmaster as well about anything.

It's difficult for me not to take "Oh, by the way, your guildmaster told me he hates you" to heart. I'm the type of person who doesn't make friends easily, so hearing that someone hates me - when I didn't even realize I was someone who could be hated! - hurts a great deal. I'm also very sensitive and emotional, so there's no way I couldn't react to that.
Someone told me he/she/it said it because I was taking attention away from him/her/it. I can't say for certain whether or not any of what occurred was factual, but I know one thing: it all hurt a great deal, and what hurt most is that I have no idea what I did to deserve being hurt like that.
And yes, I know it's a game, but it's still important to me that my superiors in the game like me.
