Also, bring back constructs. Planar mechanics in this age of five guilds are stupid. Having cool constructs get blown up, the power costs, the monotony of focusing, all of that combined was not as bad as the damage caused by distorting a gate and defenders being unable to efficiently respond. The current setup is also somewhat lopsided, since communes get their nifty bonus while retaining access to Astral, while the cities choose between nifty bonuses and things like defense. It's one thing to get shuttled up once, it's another altogether when each defender who conglutinates is suddenly stranded.
