Inagin is pretty weak, demigod gave him no real advantage in this, and as for no sharing... Well you can drop hamsters and then have someone else pick them up.

which would be cheating. If they wanted people to share they would have made it a sharing event.
Razenth2010-01-09 23:30:43
I thought in no sharing the hamsters poof when you pick them up?
Unknown2010-01-09 23:33:59
That's how it usually is, but in the chaos hunt they all stay in your hands and drop when you die. Ideally only the chaos hamster would work that way, making it a pk event for those who want to win the big prize and having deaths not count against regular peeps. But nope.
Kiradawea2010-01-09 23:34:08
No. They poof if you give them. However they can still be dropped, so people can kill others to get their hamsters.
Zalandrus2010-01-09 23:40:48
I believe the logic should work in the other way. If they wanted people to NOT share, they would've actually made it a not-sharing event (hamsters poof when you pick them up). There's not much difference between killing for the critters and giving them to your friend...you can't really have one without the other.
Kiradawea2010-01-09 23:44:04
Unfortunately, the difference is primarily in if it is a no PK or a PK event. PK events always have hamsters drop on death, and since the purple hamster is involved, it must be a PK event.

And it turns out that ANOTHER new hamsterhunt has begun. Good luck Shamarah. Perhaps you're the one who gets to win. smile.gif

Thank you for pointing that out, even though that's what we've all been talking about. I think you missed the point of my post though.
Shamarah2010-01-09 23:52:31
Oh man, that event was so silly on so many levels. :3
Rika2010-01-09 23:53:24
Poor Shamarah. sad.gif

your point is that because it is abuseable due to it being necesarry for a legit part of the event it is allowed. There are many other abuseable things that can not be hardcoded that get people banned.

Can we just start the yearly seal event games bitching thread already. We still have to beat the 13 page Beauty rant from a couple years ago.
Razenth2010-01-10 00:01:55
What made it so bad?

Seal events invariably throw up bugs and people get frustrated because of said bugs. People also use whatever tactics they have available, including ones that people see as abusive, makes everyone hate one another just a little bit more biggrin.gif

The events in general make people who want the prizes tired, depressed and censor.gif ed off at everyone/everything.

Shame since in general the Ascension event is such a cool idea.
Razenth2010-01-10 00:08:37
Um... how do bugs mess up a BEAUTY seal event...?

Last year's Beauty gripe-fest was rooted in designs winning that the Charites would have rejected in the other eleven months of the year, countered by Estarra's argument that the contest shouldn't be a typo competition.
Unknown2010-01-10 00:11:21
I think he means in general, in a game with winners, there will also be losers, and losers will be unhappy.

They don't. Basic spelling and grammatical errors do.

To anyone who thinks there might have been a bug on the last one.
