I still say that if Seren can do IronMoonStar, they can do TBC.
If there was any actual sticking to the "noooo, taint bad, do nothing at all with it" thing there'd be some point, but it's become a pretty nebulous (nearly non-existant) line.
Beyond that, I think they've fixed most of the issues with the quest at this point. They gave it a very long reset time before it can go back up, and the org who raised it can no longer kidnap the boy (Bad Krellan). There exists 1 remaining issue in that novices can no longer do the quest while it's up, which does suck, but at the same time it was created to allow for changes in who is currently CC, so I don't know. Either way, it can't be permanently up any more unless nobody cares to drop it. The reset time seems to be about 24 hours after it was destroyed, so there's a very limited time it affects anyone.

Can you not still kill the woman or the children (and be avenger-protected while you do it)?
Rael2010-01-10 19:58:11
I think pyromancers came out first because the code was heavily adapted from the Tears of Polaris. One of the developers showed off a sneak peek of a skill called inferno or firestorm or something like that but I don't care enough to find the post. /random

Guardians plz so we can finally know what the Hallifax guardians are like.
Also so I can guildhop.
Also so I can guildhop.
the annoying thing is, if they release guardians first there is no suspense of what new skills the warriors will have

You can kill the woman, but it takes time to kill her whereas "Say Globglob, Say Yes" are pretty much instant. And yeah, the kids can be killed, too; but, at the same time, if the Strykers are killed you can't start putting it up either. So it works both ways.
Just like you're Avenger-protected while killing Norchatine.
Works both ways, as it's not meant to be a PvP quest. And I think there'd be a lot of upset if killing Globglob / Norchatine made it enemy territory (since, y'know, they run the place).
The main issue was (afaik) the kidnap, since the boy gives a message the moment he resets so you can go get the things again. Beyond that it's the same for both sides in starting up, can slow it down by killing Norchatine after that, etc.

When they do a vote, the vote weight should be based on the amount of power each person has brought in.

We also get to see what the cosmic planes really have with the guardians.
Casilu2010-01-10 20:15:31
I would argue warriors first because as far as I understand it, you don't lose any power if something on cosmic dies without the guardian guild. Makes you a little more raid resistant.

I thought it would be really neat if illuminati didn't have ents, but rather had mutations on themselves that are roughly mechancially equivalent to ents.
Like, blarg! Independently thinking appendage!
But somehow that seems doubtful.
Unknown2010-01-10 20:24:55
Pretty sure Hallifax ents will be a floating Tetrahedron, Hexahedron, Octahedron, Dodecahedron, and Icosahdron - in that order. It'll shoot laser beams or something.

Sounds pretty likely to me. They'll probably mutate themselves directly, or they'll summon the various Vortex creatures and then merge their bodies with them via an additional syntax. The Continuum guardians will probably have something different than angels/demons as well, either a different flavor of the Illuminati, or something similar to what I've suggested for them in the past, i.e. summoning the shapes and attacking by refracting beams of light through them and towards their enemies.
Genos2010-01-10 20:29:09
Judging from the picture of the Trill on the website and the Spheres of Continuum it seems like the guardians will have something akin to ioun stones of various gem types that float around their head. Especially because when the Trill was first released it didn't have the stones when it was first drawn but they were added later, much like the fae surrounding the Elfen.

This.
What's to say that the warriors won't be able to unlock some of their "secrets" either? They have to have some knowledge of Cosmic.

It'd be easier from a design standpoint to release warriors first since you'd only have to add in one skill each, instead of 2 for guardians. Plus warriors are OP and they can summon physical guards to stop gankers on the nexus.
Unknown2010-01-10 22:30:54
Assuming that all of the skills aren't already done or mostly done.
Rika2010-01-10 22:31:46
Pretty sure they arent, hence the 2 month waiting period.
