And oh God please don't make 'logic' and 'emotion' into Halli and Gaudi's 'light' and 'taint'. That's not how it works. I can see it now, "DURR DEFENDERS TO CELESTIA THEY R LOGICING AND MELDING." "Don't listen to the evil Gaudiguchians (editor's note-that can't possibly be the right term, can it?) they r trying to spread the emotions!"
From what I've heard so far, it is most of what they stand for, though I'm still interested to see how they develop their own identities in the Basin. You have a knack for overreacting to everything, BTW.

Don't think you can do it. If I remember correctly, a mob you have to influence is undead and you need to be undead or have a crow cloak to influence him. Of course, you could pick it up after someone else is done influencing. Or I'm completely wrong. In that case, ignore.
If that is the case, then the quest is even worse than I thought. Back to killing those bards and scholars, I suppose...
Unknown2010-01-12 13:20:38
It's something they stand for, but it's not a tangible force. No one's going to blow your head off with a ray of logic. Anyway, it's more of an order vs freedom thing than logic/emotion or even order/chaos.

Wow, I would have offered even higher than that if I'd known how easy it was. Next time when the opportunity is even more complete I'll definitely have to try that technique.

A God said somewhere that the non-super mobs aren't sentient. The spheres and fleshpots we'll have to see about. I'm guessing that both planes will have an overarching 'sentience' that encompasses everything there, and it more of a hivemind kind of thing that an individual with any sort of personality.
Oh, ok. I was talking about the supermobs.
Hallifax and Gaudiguch are terrible names for trying to make abbreviations out of. No worse than Celest, though, I suppose. Seren, Mags, Glooms, and...fish.

Er. Celestians?

Well you can go with what some people call each other in the city... 'Flamers'...
Note: I hate that name personally.
Edit:: I still prefer 'Wyrdos' (wierdos) for Glomdoring over 'Glooms'

If I was talking about "Celestians" I would also have said "Magnagorans." That's not an abbreviation!
EDIT: Wyrdos is fine, I just used Glooms before the wyrd existed, so...
Xavius2010-01-12 15:38:09
Celest is six characters. Stop being lazy.
Also, Gaudi. Rhymes with Saudi. The adjective for "of Gaudiguch" should totally be Gaudi and not Gaudiguchian or some similar monstrosity.

Celestians is ten letters!
Xavius2010-01-12 15:51:07
Gaudis!
Hallifax doesn't have a neat abbreviation, though.

Halli is a corporate entity. They should behave like one, and name themselves after a sponsoring entity.
Verizion Wireless City,
E-surance Towers,
Or perhaps, simply, "Tostitos".
I'm sure that the Tostitians would appreciate the efficient and practical manner of such a system.

You're wrong-- the only influencing required is of the Strykers. Keep in mind that a Seren has done it in the past.
Edit: Unless somehow all 3 of them are undead, which raises a couple of interesting questions right there. 1) How do they have children; 2) Helping more tainted undead beings.
That said, I'm pretty sure they're not all undead, though I suppose I haven't gone and checked them out to make sure. Hm.

I like "Hals", since there are a lot of monotone announcements in Hallifax.
"I'm sorry Estarra, I can't do that", etc.

I think Hallidoring sounds cool.

So, if they bring back Ackleberry, would that make the alliance with Hallifax... Halliberry? *bah dum tsh*
