The funniest part about that is that it was probably the Arachnid that blew the ship up and started this whole mess. If Aleria wasn't bound and determined it was Jazella who blew them up, this wouldn't have happened like this.

Celest needs to not explode. Kira needs to plug the wound, and fast. If Celest explodes, I'm worried that there'll be a repeat of the debacle that was admin intervention in Glomdoring. I think it'll be even worse this time, since one of these factions, and in my eyes the guiltiest faction of all, is the faction of Eventru is the One True God IRL. Eventru the character (hopefully not Eventru the admin!) has already openly sided with his petulant order in this, and he would have more influence than most on how the restructuring pans out.

I think that eventru is a very strong presence in the city, which would be fine if there was anther strong presence to balance him out. What is most striking to me after not playing for a while is coming back and seeing just how many of the top tier players are no longer in celest or are no longer active.
Strangely enough it feels very similar to a cycle that I witnessed in Achaea with Shallam. Height of power, influence, and activity followed by some event that causes the leadership to take the city in a different direction followed by all the infighting that causes which is followed by a decline and a weird mix of apathy and zealotry.
Fun times.
