Yup, kicking out another fighter from a dying city. Totally owned him.

Were people kicked out solely for aetherhunting with an enemy?
Actually, no, I don't want to know. I'm going to go stick my head in the sand and hum happy little songs to myself.

If so, they neglected Calina. So who knows.

I feel like the sailor who got discharged, and as his ship sailed away, it got hit by a wave of sewage

I recently trained up a beast with sleepcloud with the intention of using it after inquisition to make sure that the person can't run from my soulless. So I tried it out in a spar today, and when I did it, Yukio was awoken by damage within about half a second, which was strange because I didn't think I did anything to him that would have inflicted damage. After some testing with Pectus, it turns out that Inquisition does a very small amount of damage every second while it is active. This damage is so negligible that I didn't even know it existed before today, because it's normally covered entirely by regen (and who damages inquisitioned people anyway?). The only conceivable purpose it serves is to wake people up.
TLDR: I spent 150 mind trains on an ability that is useless for what I wanted to do with it

Is it the vomiting damage? I've been hit by that before.

It was done regularly before the 21938209 people became demigods and damage was nerfed inherently. Inquisition amps damage for the duration (if not now it did in the past).

Jaamil already left Hallifax. Guess that whole less strict thing didn't really work out?
Also, I feel terrible for Kiradawea.

He left Celest because it was too strict, and went to Hallifax.
That's like going from Glomdoring because you feel it's tainted, and moving to Magnagora.
Zalandrus2010-01-15 15:48:36
Think what you might about Kira or Jazella as people, but I've come to a conclusion through this whole Celest mess: neither would have been a good CL, not because they're not intelligent enough, or because they're not devoted, or because they're not good fighters, etc. etc., but because they're too polarizing on an OOC level. They both have OOC (and to a great degree, IC-not-related-to-OOC) cadres formed around them, as is evident by their respective supporters and dissenters. Either would've had to work hard to win over the respect and full cooperation of the other's supporters. It's unfortunate that Kira had to deal with extra drama coming in, but really, Jazella would've had a difficult time too.
Jazella2010-01-15 15:58:05
Where I totally do not doubt I would have had a hard time with some people (Mind you most of them quit the city in the past two days or got thrown out), I would not have made the mistake of alienating the guildmasters from the council. That was probably her biggest mistake of all.
Zalandrus2010-01-15 16:01:44
Mm, to me, seems like the guildmasters are split too. Some seem fine with giving her a chance, others are against. You can kind of see the effects of the cadres thing in that group of 5 too.

Pretty much.
I'm just amused at how quickly he wandered off for parts unknown - it took less than 24 hours.

Is this coming from the person who pulled a total Shayle in the Cantors to get at Pectus and directly contributed to the Hallifaxian exodus? Oh, wait, it is!
It's a real shame that there's no IC mechanism to call out a person with no proper IC/OOC separation. Using alts to undercut your rivals is douchebaggery of the highest order.

No comment on the specifics here as I really have no idea, but I believe you can issue someone for alt abuse and have it looked into. I know in the past it was taken very seriously and the admins have easy ways to check up on that sort of thing.

I totally have no idea what you are talking about on either point. One, I actually like Pectus. Two, what Hallifaxian exodus and how the heck did I contribute? Three, what cantor alt?
