I think us adventurers are just silly, I mean, think about it! Just how many times can we keep falling for that attack where they dangle that piece of flesh in front of us!?

The purpose of nerfing Twisters is one of pretty good import, if you're talking about the one Ciaran has up: the ability to raise staff in to a free, almost effortless concussion is INCREDIBLY powerful. The Aeromancer class can't have any breathing room for upgrades without getting that out of the way in some fashion. This is killing two birds with one stone, because it also gets us something relatively useful to a stable demesne.

The usefulness of raise staff and twisters is arguable. However, I'm not too concerned about the proposed changes there - I was upset by the proposed nerfing of psychicvampirism. We can't balance some abilities around group combat but no others, especially when the ability in question has yet to prove particularly overpowered.

People often forget, to include the envoys themselves sometimes, that they're there to make sure the skills are fair and balanced, not to make sure their respective skillsets wtfpwn everyone else.

Everyone should read that report btw. Did you know you could cure concussion with myrtle and damaged head doesn't actually do anything? I didn't.

yeah, this is awesome, I'm never curing concussion with regen again. Actually myrtle really probably shouldn't cure it, makes it pretty weak.

The difference between cities and communes:

Cities:
QUOTE
- Jayden guildfavoured Pesukaru for: Not everyone deserves the warmth and blessings of the Light. May he continue to have mercy upon them by slaying them.

Communes:
QUOTE
- Raeri communefavoured Rhaell for: Defending Etherwilde. And poking with a pointy sword.

The entire "we serve the collective" rp is going down the drain real fast.

Starting to regret moving to Hallifax, so much drama already. How is Gaudiguch this time of year?

Also, Celest makes me feel like this: Click me.

Just because the bad apples make more noise, doesn't mean that they're the ones steering the ship. Hallifax has great potential, it's just a matter of time. fishing1.gif

No, but they complain about the captain to me. I think Hallifax is more of a ticking time bomb at this point because of a few issues, but that is a prediction for another time.

That's the inevitable new-org blues. Everybody came to the city with their own vision of how it should be, as well as an idea of what their position within it would be. There's going to be disappointment no matter what direction it takes or who is put in charge - some will leave, some will try to start trouble. Some of us will just twiddle our thumbs and wait for everything to calm down. That's when the real work begins.

Not what I'm talking about for the time bomb. Wait and see.
Arte2010-01-28 08:46:11
I am very much aware of the 'time bomb' in question. One cat fight does not make for a Celest-type situation, and even if it did, Celest wasn't half as bad off as some on the forums made it out to be. A lot of people were hurt, and a lot of damage was done, but Celest's fundamental ability to exist and function wasn't threatened. One look at 'topguilds' is enough to show that they're still puttering along in their own way. Heck, they've got two villages. That's more than a lot of orgs have had at certain points in their histories.
