Interestingly, I believe you will actually be gaining more raw experience at higher levels from aetherbashing - just not enough to make the percentage to next level greater for a higher level, of course.

Why?!?! Really, I don't see the reasoning, especially since it can hit a Domoth that's just been claimed.

...It adds dynamics to the Domoths. See, if flux didn't exist, everyone could just upgrade their Domoths during obscure times and never have it get stolen. Also, you should have known why no one else bothered to claim Justice. It was sitting free for hours because we knew it would flux.

If not for Flux, domoths would pretty much never have a chance to change hands. They're in there so that people don't just glom on to a Domoth and never let it go; and they can be determined ahead of time which are the next set to go so you don't even both wasting time on it. As Alacardael said, there's a reason it hadn't been claimed.

That, and I told you when I noticed you were Domothing that it was going to flux!

Serenwilde, Magnagora and Glomdoring, when each dominated the domoths, ALL did it at times they had even or better odds (often better) of winning it. Which meant they didn't change hands much at all.
