I don't know if this is the server change or what, but I just lagged out as soon as four fesixes walked into the room for like 30 seconds or more. Anyone else having that kind of issue?

Nicholo just left the Shadowdancers and Glomdoring... Iunno what to go to know, Hallifax or Gaidguch, being my main choices...
However;

Hallifax is the obvious choice, so much so that I need not back this up with any proof

I had about a 30 second freeze as well. Fortunately I wasn't doing anything risky, and it did come back.
Ileein2010-03-31 11:06:46
Hallifax is clearly the right choice.
Unknown2010-03-31 11:33:52
I've been WAY faster on the new server, overall. If it lags for that long, I suspect Casilu is reading her messages again.

Why Hallifax? Plus I have to look into each City, anyways. Don't quite know much about either...
But first, why Hallifax? Aside from Alacardael now having to kill me, if I go to Hallifax. Plus Nicholo's scared of heights... >_<

If you like bureaucracy and unnecessarily complicated (if rather pretty) things, pick Hallifax.
If you like to do your own thing, burn stuff, and drink, pick Gaudiguch.
Disclaimer: Gaudiguch's "freedom" principle will not save you from the consequences of doing anything stupid.

Consider this poignant argument for Gaudiguch:
Hallifax is Hermes. Gaudiguch is Zoidberg.
Really though, the answer about where you should move to is, "wherever you want to." Anything else is just idiots on a forum.

There is no such thing as combat. Just running. The more someone claims to want to fight, the less they want to fight.

Why would it?
It's essentially like the rights and freedoms you have in real life, suuure, you can do it, but if you break the laws you're going to get smacked for it. Total freedom would be anarchy!
(yes, I know you're in Gaudi, there are some that seem to misunderstand the concept of freedom)
Ileein2010-03-31 15:49:36
Well, Hallifax seems to have a smaller number of insufferably stupid people, but that might just be confirmation bias.

A lot of people think that freedom means that even the simplest, most common sense rules (e.g. "Don't GF during an election", "Don't kill a fellow citizen") don't apply and that anyone trying to enforce those rules just has a personal vendetta against the rule-breaker.

Hallifax has less stupid but more insufferable.

We are in agreement!

Hallifax has the Insufferable Geniuses. Gaudiguch has the Jerkasses. Yay for stereotypes.
That being said, your best bet really is to talk to people in both cities and get them to explain what is good and what is bad about their city. If they can't tell you what's bad about it, find someone less biased.

Yes, but you filled out the right form for that. Most people have yet to.
