The task itself is not that onerous, but I am not OK with Gods making the mobs lippy or non-nonsensical in the first place in an effort to rub our faces in a mess made by one person who was just doing what their character does. I do not appreciate being reminded over and over that because somebody did something characteristic of the person they play, we all have to go through a few extra hoops for the event to actually end, nor do I appreciate these same mobs then being used as mouthpieces to berate somebody for sounding annoyed in character over the entire fiasco.

Just because something is characteristic to someone doesn't that absolve you from the deeds. If someone acts like a jerk ICly, then people will react appropriately.

Yeah, but honestly, everybody around is not responsible for it. We don't need to be reminded that we let a jerk come around with us to kill things threatening the cities and communes, who subsequently did something jerkish (for good reason, in my opinion).

People are being jerks OOCly though, if everyone knew the outcome of an event or one certain deeds would do, it would not be half as interesting. Although I don't think the event should be prolonged too much, interest is lost and people start to rage QQ and it becomes a chore and not a fun little thing to do!
