I believe illusions and other such trickery involving credits is illegal, actually. People were punished severely in Achaea for scamming people out of credits using things like this.

It is, if it is used to scam. This looks like a border case where it was intended to look like an illusion and not intended to get items / gold / whatever, though. So it may or may not be illegal.

Illusioning anything referencing credit transfers is a Bad Thing. Beyond the mere (ha!) fact it can be used to scam other players (which will undoubtedly earn you a shrubbing), it's also simply rude, mean, and arguably OOC (given credits are OOC - they're over looked on aethers etc because of the unavoidable nature of the situation, however I can't see any reason why an illusion regarding transfer of them couldn't be avoided).

I simply cannot see any reason to do it, and a lot of reasons not to do it.

Pointless, hopeless off-hour raids. And, accidentally summoning extra guards, not realizing they'd all gotten up into the trees again. (Two things not related, by the way.)

I actually enjoy the random raids. Small-scale combat that is fulfilling. Until I realise that I only logged on to check news and stuff, and get dragged into deffing up and defending.

I'd like random raids more if they didn't come is such big force or having an ascendant or two with them, I remember defending against Sidd and Nienla (ascendant-monk+choke-whore=fun for all) with just me and, like, three or four novices or something pathetic. Or Esano melding the entire of Celestia and the only combatants we had were :censor:es.

Edit: Not really a rant on my part, through some miracle (maybe Sidd had his system turned off? ) we did win that time with, and Esano was nice enough to leave after killing me a few times
