Of course, one expects the CL to get the council's approval before even going to the other side with such a proposal. I admit that I avoid politics like a plague because it always just upsets me, so my logic is quite possibly flawed (or at least not "how it works" in Lusternia).

Seren's best strategy would be to do exactly what Glomdoring did.

Do absolutely nothing until the admin nearly take action, until a few big combatants hop there and turn things around. Amass zerg, and result in logs like this.
(name changed 'cause I didn't ask permission and it might be embarassing)

(decided to pull down the log because there's enough dramaz here)

There's a difference between a proposal (which, in Lusternia-terms, usually includes some version of my original Celest-Glom treaty), and offers to have discussions (which are basically just a, "Hey, you over there, if you are sick of things the way they are the door is at least a crack open for you.")

If your Circle was to come back in a group and say that you were interested, and then actually express interest in a meeting (an actual activity)... sure, more (all) of the Court would be involved.

Simply saying "Hey, talk to us" really isn't much of a diplomatic step in Lusternia terms. I mean, nothing really changes without such a conversation anyways. tongue.gif

Edit to the above;
Why, really, is it so much better to just complain about it than it is to talk with your leaders and have them actually lead? This is pointed at the person complaining in the log and talking about quitting, not to Akui, really. If you don't like it, there really are options!

The messages that I received regarding peace talks (if this is what you're referring to) was along the lines of:

"We can't control our but it'd really help if you told Lehki to stop it because he's so annoying and always raids us and is a real hindrance to us, man, it's all Lehki's fault, he always raids us, tell him to stop, if he stops maybe we'll force to stop but we can't guarantee."

Exaggerating Lehki's actions and impact of his actions (from my point of view) just made me not even -consider- talking.

Although my perception is a lot more skewed because of my playing times.

How come when I was CL in Seren and Glom was getting destroyed no one supported me when I told people to lay off the raiding a bit. sad.gif

That log is illustrating what I said earlier: it's not the raids; it's the attitudes. At least, Lehki quietly fights his own battles (usually).

That's because when Sarrasri got a log of it she decided to misread it and then portray it as that, as I understand it; the first offer was made directly to Lehki, who stated that he was a-okay with the situation as-is and he loved it, and to "bring it on" essentially.

The second conversation was a "You know, an offer was made and Lehki decided that it wasn't anything Serenwilde was interested in. And then, right after the offer was made, he decided to go on a rampage, which makes the offer much less valid."

The whole timing thing of the original offer was actually before he started his return-suicide-runs, when it was pretty much nothing but Serenwilde getting stomped. The subsequent one was more of a disbelief that not only was it summarily dismissed, but that the response to it was numerous raids. tongue.gif And I think that's the one that was logged on your side.

If you think the log is "illuminating" I'm not sure where you're coming from, because it was a completely different context / situation from when the offer was first made.

When Xenthos talked to me that first time I got mostly the same impression that Solanis had, and I had literally just started raiding Glom back. Before then it was just chasing pests when they'd go and just sit outside the archway or orgbix exit after raiding.

But yeah TWITS. Sitting in a 4v1 wargames waiting for the other team to attack, they say they're still getting ready so I look away briefly and come back and I'm almost dead. ):

One of the amusingly dumb things about politics is how everyone insists on pretending that organizations are homogeneous entities with a single opinion, despite the fact that you can't take a step without getting evidence on your shoes that every organization can't agree with itself about anything, ever, and it has been so every single day since the server was first turned on. (In fact, I suspect that while Estarra was first pulling the styrofoam off the box, some random electrons inside the hard drive were already starting to make plans to punish each other for actions carried out by other electrons entirely.)

Trying to raise all the queens because we're told we need to for the event, and then Glom killing all the keph nurses 'just because' apparently. /sad

Hope this is a long event over a few days because almost definitely not going to be around when all the queens are up. ):

"Just because" == "Doing the Illithoid side".

I asked a few people and they all said pretty much 'just because we help illie'. Nobody knew of anything actually happening for the illithoid's side. If you have something we can go censor.gif up by killing a few weak mobs, fine. <,<

Woo conflict events that involve long and easy to stop quests. Got to love them.

Well, we do, actually. But for obvious reasons I'd rather not post them on the forums. tongue.gif

That, and I do (kind of) know what's happening on the Illithoid side!

Were you almost flat out told that you'd need to one of the most tedious and easy to stop and undo quests in Lusternia? ):

EDIT:Don't get me wrong, I love seeing more stuff happening with the Keph and Illies, but the quests are excessively easy to grief. ):

I was told not-quite-flat-out that I had to collect hundreds of loti spores. sad.gif

... while they're being collected by other orgs. sad.gifsad.gif

Edit to your edit: Oh, I definitely agree, heh.
