Don't get enemied to the village while it is loyal to an Org, have to attack it's denizens while it has no affiliation

That's ridiculous. "We revolted, so you're not our enemies anymore, even though you repeatedly slaughtered us".

What would you suggest? Most of the times that an egregious, game-damaging imbalance was fixed, it came after something like this. Not much else differentiates the background noise of people always complaining all the time about everything, from the critical mass of complaints when there's something that seriously needs looking at.

Anyway, I certainly didn't intend this explosion of posts from the GFDS, but I suppose I ought to have. That, too, is a symptom. The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

Wow. People actually post with some agreement / comments / ideas about what is exacerbating the problem, and you leap on to this "defense" that "Glomdoring must defend it at all costs!"

Hunh.

If you were enemied to the village, it would render the entire Conquest "active mechanic" pointless, unfortunately.

No, THREE fifty guards clumps lock it down a bit. Otherwise you just airpike over guards. Acrobatics is a pain in the ass to stop.

For years, before divinefire and before airpike, people still got past clumps of fifty guards. Heck, even I can pull that one off when I have to, and it's widely known that I suck. Lusternia's abundance of transport skills makes it so with enough planning and setup, there are no borders, unless you can lock down every room of an area. That's always been true since day one, even on the days right after defense upgrades in the past. All that has ever changed was whether it was hard and took setup and involved risk, or was really easy, or was somewhere in between.

Gosh, that would suck so much. You'd have to do something besides raid for a change.

I love it when people who know a lot more about Lusternia than I do have a heated conversation.

I learn things I wouldn't even know enough to ask about otherwise, and normally wouldn't discover for another three or four months.

Gah, Sylphas, don't do that. That's not fair. The mechanics are telling them they have to raid, let's be grateful that these raids have a purpose (so when the purpose is accomplished they end). This is actually a big improvement.

How often do I raid when there isn't some actual reason to raid?

And you are missing the point; they coded this mechanic in to be used. Thus, while the mechanic is as-is, this is the way it is.

I think the mechanic is absolutely retarded.

Well, like I said, I gave my concerns for it the very first day it was active (after we had raided Dairuchi and kept it 100% clear of Dracnari for 8 hours straight).

So, you won't get a disagreement from me in that it's not the best; in fact, I stated that this is the primary issue here, imo.

Honestly, it is kind of refreshing for there to actually be a real reason to raid; beyond just killing some Ladies for no reason, or killing Demons for no reason.

It just is unpleasant to hear things screaming for help over and over (ie, be on the receiving end), so. Yeah. :/

I ended up turning loyalsays off.

Man that exploded quickly. Take it to a new thread if it's going to continue.

(A few notes - Conquest Pool is intended to be comparable to the power gains of religious and the commodity gains of commercial. Conquest wasn't 'added', it's been there since be beginning. The means to gain attraction have not changed. The villages do not 'like' you more because you're killing them (in the sense of a teenage girl and, say, Justin Timberlake) but their susceptibility to your influence is greater (as in, the Mongol Empire dominating a vast majority of Europe by raw force). This is why positive feelings for conquest gov'ts are things like 'repressed'. The people may not individually like you, but the conquest gov't doesn't really care - you subjugate by force.)

It had actually stopped, I think.

Also: Can we get a list of the rankings at some point please?

I laughed, and then I hated myself for laughing, and then I laughed some more. I thought you'd be pleased to know that.
