Hallifax should just squish itself into two dimensions.

Or at least change the matrix to a big hunk of swiss cheese, and employ a group of mice furrikin to guide people around.

This what Iktomi did when she was given a project to make sure we knew who had bonded with what totems, and which totems still needed to be bonded. It was painful to run around the whole forest looking for a particular room name. Much easier to just do that one, jot down the number, then post the number beside the room name for pathfinding.

Actually, for the maps squished down mostly, I find it more confusing.

And I don't know of any mice furrikin off the top of my head, although I think Lillie should be one.

It's so OCD-ly arranged, I'm sure it's possible to write a carefully-composed chelp file to get people to visualize mentally what the layout of the city is. In fact, it's something I've been planning on doing, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I've gotten to the point where I kinda know where the big or useful things are, but still haven't gotten to the stage where I can articulate it yet. I'm still amused at the fact that I can take random paths heading downwards and always end up at the aether portal/stables level.

I found the layout of Hallifax intuitive. I had trouble at first (the first few times), but once you figure out how it's organized, it makes sense (much moreso than Glom or Serenwilde).

The elemental and cosmic planes, are another story.

And Halli is ok. I actually had less problem learning to navigate Hallifax than I did Serenwilde. But that might have something to do with me being a lot more newbie when I first came to Serenwilde.

I really just wanted to point it out because a certain unnamed individual was one of the loudest in saying that when climb rocks came out, pits were suddenly useless now.

What can you expect from people. /shrug

I find the spring trap chains much more annoying then the pits. If we sit at Mother for a few moments after you guys come in we basically can't walk off it without sacrificing somebody(probably me /sad) to the insta-moved 3-4 rooms into a pit.
