Paperwork on it's still being proccessed.
Dynami2010-05-06 03:50:12
I believe the term "beating a dead horse" applies to the paperwork jokes
Edit: Okay, after further analysis(googling it), said term does not apply! But I think you get my point...

Is it really a big deal, like, at all though? It's a little silly to get upset over some dashes or what have you.
Just my thoughts, but you're upset because you find it difficult to read other people are upset because when they look at you they see something like this.
CODE
She is a feathered cloud trill and stands at approximately seven feet in height. Her fair skin is a pale golden-brown that seems to almost glow in the sunlight, giving her a warm and pleasant appearance. The meticulously-preened feathers of her wings are a creamy light brown with soft, white accents along their bottom edges. Short, vibrantly-hued copper feathers adorn her head, contrasting starkly with her bright blue eyes. Her boyish face is at odds with her feminine figure and graceful demeanor. A slight smile is on her lips at almost all times, as if she'd just thought of something amusing. --------------------------------------~---------------------------------------. She is wearing an etched amethyst ring, a heart-shaped ruby stud through her left ear, a long, white and black winter coat, a heart-shaped ruby stud through her right ear, an etched garnet ring, a turbulent serpent's ring, an etched pearl ring, etched emerald slippers, a sheer, silvery silken scarf, a satchel of white leather, a set of deep green greatrobes detailed in silver and emeralds, a midnight black rose, a golden lyrebird cloak, and a pair of white leather gloves.
Now resize your screen and see all the different ways people see your description.
The best answer really is an config option that puts the clothing on a new line. As it stand depending on client and wrap width these lines (and they show up everywhere) mainly just look weird. To be honest if I see them I rarely read the descriptions for some reason.

Oh no, I understand completely! And I'm not upset, heheh. People are gonna have different feelings on things, I personally find it kind of amusing that people on either "side" of this feel strongly about it in any way. I'd love for a config option that'd do that, but there isn't one, so I do what I did. In the default wrap width, so there's more of a chance of people seeing it the way it's intended to look. Can't please everyone, yeah?

I agree. The fact that they show up everywhere and the responses to that suggestion in Simple Ideas indicate that there exists a great desire for separation of description and clothing list, especially if it's opt-in.
When I entered my description for the first time (on my second day of playing Lusternia), I immediately noticed the mash-up. It assaulted my eyeballs, and I tried to enter in a blank line somehow, but failed. So it's not like I caught the "dash bug" from seeing other people do it. I genuinely dislike the way it's displayed.
I'm not really upset about it per se, but I find it annoying.

Bashing as a 12 STR warrior. Working out how low my damage was made me sad. Then I realized it would normally be even lower than that because of the TF.
Gotta get me some master weapons and strength buffs.

Try bashing as a Serenguard faeling sometime. Worst... Alt... Ever...

I've done that, and it's really not any worse than bashing as a SL faeling. Which is to say, it isn't at all unless you run into health issues. STR has hardly any noticeable effect on bash damage, so it's all in your tankiness as a warrior. The speed bonus and sip bonus really sweeten the deal if you can get surge.

Wasn't me, but on a related note, I watched a guy kill the krokani cook, so I quick ran off and turned Surtami paranoid to make his one extra corpse a very worthless item. Not ten minutes later, the krokani respawned. Man, I felt silly. All those krokani, and no gold for me.

I suspect it was done unknowingly. They are weak to paranoia, it is probably someone who doesn't know any better out influencing.

It's more interesting for me to imagine that there's some dastardly, invisible Gaudiguchian being extremely cunning, than that a hapless influencer unwittingly targeted the wrong thing.
I hope you exist, unknown adversary! We'll meet someday.

The worst kind of quest bug is the one that affects a quest you can only do once every umpteen hours, and which you have to compete with others to do, and which simply fails right near the very last step, after many hours invested. Gaaaaaah! I hope someone sees the bug and saves me before time runs out...

I don't think the antlers need to be give to chuchip during the full moon. I just think it's neccessary because of the Moonglory to do most stuff around full moon. I think the font blessing lasts a LONG time.
Lendren2010-05-07 18:28:46
That's certainly how it was pre-epic-quest but I don't want to risk it having changed like so much else did. Besides there's the part where if you don't do it someone else probably will grab something you need.
Anyway, it all worked itself out. Plus got some very friendly and helpful follow-up from one of the coders who's working on ways to stop it happening in future.

Thankfully, the blessed antlers last at least long enough for the seeds to repop. When I did it I didn't even think of that, and sat there with a 30s timer doing "GET SEEDS" with my fingers crossed.
The timing in general is probably looser than I think, actually.

I swear, it is impossible to raise village feelings through commodity quests.
