It is coordination dear, plain and simple.
EDIT: Actually, I found out that its because Focus Body apparently has weird priorities. If someone stacks paralysis on top of Throat Lock, you'll apparently keep curing paralysis which means that you'll vessel bait.

You mean group combat, 2v1 especially, isn't balanced? Well damn, who'd have thought.

I guess it's hard to fathom when you can get a group of 10 beating up on a person and they can walk away with nary a scratch these days.

It's not that it's unfair, it's that it's LESS fair than many other combinations of skills.

I wonder how focus body ought to prioritize; it seems like it would need to prioritize different ways at different times. Maybe what we really need is, like writhe, a way to specify which thing you want to cure (with the default being what it is now), for focus body.

Wondering how to defend Ptoma when they could be half done with killing the place by the time we group up and walk there. Paintings and spores can't go cross continent, and rifts can be trivially distorted. ):
The one right after the revolt only worked out for us because I was right outside when they started, so easy teleport for people anywhere. And Lendren had pyramid point this time but that still took too long.

Switch to conquest and raid back.
Unknown2010-05-10 23:33:36
I certainly would be interested to see two Conquest nations fight it out!

Has anyone ever gotten a full pardon when getting amnesty from a denizen? I've gotten amnesty 39 times and no full pardons yet.

They forgot a mono that time, too, so I was able to teleport to Krellan and get a maelstrom up before anybody else got in. This time, not so much.

I wish, but they're not going to switch to conquest. If they did it would probably just end up me doing kick on run raids on their villages in response to ones on ours. I can never manage to get people to raid even when we do have the numbers for it.

Yeah, I was able to moonbeam into the greatpent and start headbutting the tankier peeps out so the guards could hopefully pwn the smaller ones. But then SOMEBODY forgot to put them on standguard permanent. -__-

Once in my entire Lusternian life, when I went to get amnesty from Caoimhe. I've had a lot of 9-month amnesties, though.

Pretty sure it has to do with your charisma/influencing buffs, too.

Set up a mushroom circle right outside the Undervault. Spore to it, walk down, spore to Ptoma. Sure, requires a bit more coordination and another 2 seconds travel, but hey.

We had a discussion about that, where I thought I was saying, "let's try doing that and rift", but apparently was heard as, "let's do a rift instead of that", because nobody ever got around to making the spores. And it's still rather unwieldy to coordinate it, though I guess there' really isn't a better option.
Although, a monolith sigil at the circle won't stop the spores, right?

Going to them, no. Snorting on the monolith, yes.

I enjoy receiving good designs for Gaudi's forging cartel (emberplate). However, when I am sent designs that, I am sure the creator is excited about, but are teeming with run-ons and errors, I sort of cry a little inside. My options are to try and redo the thing myself, or fire it off to the reviewers. In the latter case, it's almost embarassing, but they're better at finding what needs to be changed than I am. In either event, I wind up feeling like I'm taking liberties (however small) with someone else's efforts in order to get their design through with anything approaching expedience.
Blarg.
(Edit- for a minirave though, I did get a helm and plate combo through recently that was very nice, and only had extremely minor corrections to be made (requiring orange tint, for example).)

That didn't take too long, it was the part where only two people answered me, and when we arrived they split up from me, and we flailed around and accomplished nothing. I actually puzzled there and back three times trying to shuttle people and failing to get all the AFK folks to answer. The puzzle is faster than my eq recovery from using it.
That said, a puzzle's not a great solution since I'm not always around with one. (Plus even just for being a shuttler, people are disinclined to follow when I say go.)

Many times, yes. (expect -many- amnesties before getting one, though)
