People frequently post mildly negative comments here because there's no dedicated "bitching" thread in Common Grounds, for reasons I'm sure we all can appreciate.

It creates a situation in which a moderate quantity of negativity is tolerated, but never explicitly allowed or encouraged.

I've just been thinking how strange it is that we have separate categories for tunics and shirts, but gloves, belts, pouches, satchels, masks, bags, aprons, scarves, etc all get lumped into accessories. It makes the accessories listing very spammy! Why can't we at least break it down a little, and have something like a "luggage" section for packs/satchels/pouches/bags?

As long as we make them all skills below where 'accessories' is now, sure. I don't really want to make it harder to get into tailoring, and accessories give a young tailor most of their business (before they can sew greatrobes).

Sure. Or bump the rest of accessories up as needed and keep luggage where it is now.

Ah, it seems you're right. I did miss that. Only died twice as a VA, and I conglutinated the first time.

That section was the most hated part of designing my site. IT'S FRICKEN HUGE.

Trying to schedule a wedding around four people's schedules, only to have it stopped for an aetherhunt, from which no one will even tell me when they plan to come back. Then getting bitched out for bothering to try to single-handedly stop a raider on one of our villages, and this effort interrupting the aetherhunt. Then only after being bitched out, people yelling at me that there's supposed to be a wedding going on right now. The inevitable raid that came five minutes later was almost a relief.

I technically have three, one for Tailoring (incomplete and not up to date because I dropped the skill for forging), Forging (incomplete due to lack of skill) and Jewelry (I'm lazy and there is a lot of designs).

Uh, you took some of that the wrong way, I think, Lendren. No one was "bitching you out," unless it was mostly via tells. Aetherhunting on double XP day is a common thing, though not as common as the inevitable incursion from one of three Glooms. They're easily chased off, anyhow, whether it's by one mid-level person or a team of demigods, and you can hardly kill the DF'ers...

And, I had no idea there was going to be a wedding until one of the invited guests started talking about it on the ship's aether.

Wait, what? I was under that any non-mortal (Demigod, VA, TA) never congluted and always had to phoenix or reincarnate. I haven't been playing the last few weeks really, but I seem to remember having to phoenix off of astral...

Hmm, you're right. I remember having to phoenix, now that you mention it. This is still a bit new to me! (I miss my conglutinate. )

While you only got to see (and contribute) one part of it, I think if you thought about it you'd be able to find plenty of discouragement and frustration in even that part, if you wanted. But it's not fruitful for me to belabor the point here.
