I'm displeased... with your sofa. That's right. I said it. Your sofa sucks.
It does, actually. Money and small children. The proof is in the pudding - I almost lost a cousin to it.

I wish astrospheres were fixed already.
Edit: Yearly soap operas would be fun, but I'm not sure I could manage to write them, let alone act in them. If I did a soap opera though, it would be about dwarves. For some reason I heart dwarves.

I thought they were. The bug says "will be fixed with next update" and they updated since then.

I knew I was going to cry when I saw masterweapons, I knew it. The only comforts to myself is Gaudi doesn't have a lot of its own designs, and most sections only have a few designs for the lower skills.

So all those people walking out of my perfect fifths is because of divine fire, right? How come my divine fire doesn't cure attraction? Either I just died to a bug, or nine out of the last ten fights I was in, the other side failed to die due to a bug. It's really getting incredibly tiresome having this crippling bug that I can't report because the only people who could possibly know what it is are the ones who gain from it.

I'm available for tests, if you'd like... You'd have to get one of your own to do testing also, since I'm not a Bard.
I don't like bugs, whether they help or hurt us. :|

I'm actually not sure how only the 'other side' knows what the bug is, it's not like divinefire is a skill accessible only to one side.
No one even knows what this bug is to my knowledge.

If I were to buy a family-jewelry cartel, would the charites acquiesce to transfering a design into it from a non-family cartel, seeing as I've been told very specifically to keep said designs in the family, and the family alone?

They've changed things recently to prevent people transferring designs, but I think you should ask anyway. The worst they could say is no.

I don't think anyone knows what it is. The problem is that the information necessary to even try to figure it out is not available to me. There's nothing in my logs to explain it. It must be something with no third person message. So there's nothing I can bug: "Person X walked out of my perfect fifth without curing it, and I have no idea what let them do it" is a quick trip to "unreplicable, sorry."
The only person who could figure it out is any of the many Person Xs, who could go back into their logs and say, "hey, this time I couldn't walk out of a p5 without curing it, but that time I could, let's see what was different?" and at least get us a possibility to investigate, something to do a test on. It's in someone's logs, it's just not in mine.
Anyway, I'm done looking for it. So, nevermind, forget I said anything.

Could be just divinefire curing attraction on the tick and someone spams walk out right as it cures, but then after a few seconds, pfifth reafflicts itself and the victim has to wait for another tick to try again or something.
Lendren2010-05-21 02:01:23
Divinefire explained away maybe one in ten of them when it was pointed out to me that it silently cures attraction, but there's quite a few left that can't be explained that way. Such as people who had already fired, or people who were being aggressive at the time, or people who weren't even demigods.
Unknown2010-05-21 02:01:30
I mean, barring someone who has actually escaped from you in this method telling you, you can always start looking at who and what is escaping it each time. Is it only Night users? Only monks? Start compiling what each person was and what skills they have, and then you could see if maybe a skill was accidentally tweaked into curing it passively.

Haha, I pull that so much at work. "Sorry can't duplicate the problem!"

Dying to a priestess cost me 800k essence in one go.
I'm just curious: how is one supposed to keep up with this rate of essence loss? (This is a real question, not me being snarky. And "don't hunt in enemy territory", while true, is not particularly useful.

Shiri2010-05-21 15:58:00
Pretty sure there is no useful answer to that beyond don't hunt in enemy territory and don't die. As long as random NPCs have enemy territories that work like player ones it's not likely to be avoidable.
Aramel2010-05-21 16:05:43
Well, bummer. I need to find another way to make gold, then.

-20 family honour for divorcing an inactive (unranked) person...this is very silly when the only way to add honour to lesser houses is to adopt, and you can't adopt with an inactive spouse!
