Tyrad (Gaku's husband, for those of you who don't pay any attention... or who never see him because my sessy arm candy sits in my manse all day mad.gif ) moved to Gaudiguch and is looking to join the Illuminati. I don't think Ongaku's ever been happier, because Tyrad finally has some gods damned motivation to do something other than sit around in his cave. laugh.gif

Well... he's been AS happy, but not happier. happy.gif The only downside is that now we don't have an all-Geomancer family, and Vliuun will most likely start spouting off about what a heathen and heretic his other father is. dry.gif Such is life, I suppose.

Also, Vliuun's reaction IC to being called "Vli-Vli" the other day was pretty priceless. biggrin.gif

For someone who claims to want to encourage trade for his city, the Trade Minister sure doesn't seem to want any business with the prices he has listed in that project. Good grief! Why doesn't it just say, "Just give it to us, you're not going to make a profit at these prices anyway." laugh.gif

Because smart trademasters make discount goods, and discount goods keep prices low and profits high, just like the news post says! tongue.gif

*stocks shop at those prices*

I hope this isn't too 'out there,' but I wasn't really sure where to put this since it's reeeal nitpicky. So here's the description of this sweet lute I have:

QUOTE
An unusually long and broad neck gives this lute a distinctive appearance, while providing room for seven strings of spun silver, allowing a wider musical range than most lutes. Small inset circles of iridescent marble mark a number of key points along the fretboard, suggesting relationships between notes and intervals to those trained in the theory of music. The lute's teardrop-shaped body is a pale putple suggesting moonlit lilacs, largely unornamented apart from a simple marble circle edging the unusually large soundhole. The tuning head mirrors the lute's body in shape and colour, with marble tuning pegs arrayed in a semicircle around it. A black shoulder strap affixes to the body and head with small silver pegs.

Cool, right? It sure is, until you actually research lutes.

Notice how many strings that sucker has? Lutes in general have about 7-12 pairs of strings plus one single string, meaning that on average, lutes have 15 to 26 strings. So, uh, a lute with seven strings isn't really all that special.
Noola2010-06-28 08:10:48
Or maybe it's extra special cause it gets all that lute sound with only 7 strings while most lutes need many more! thumup.gif

I'd be more concerned about this mysterious "putple" colour, if I were you! laugh.gif

A productive time for those of the Phoebusly persuasion. Got her married, finished the generators, got a bunch of pretty flowers delivered to Hallifax from Clarramore...

Now if only I could come up with some more tailoring designs so I had more to look at than just my scarf sitting there eternally in submit... suspicious.gif

People saying they'll vote for me and then turning around and voting for Lekius makes me sad. If you're going to tell me you're going to vote for me, then turn around and not, why even get my hopes up?

Probably because it's a lot better than saying, "LOLWUT. NO I WON'T VOTE FOR YOU. LULZ."

I didn't -ask-. They specifically whispered me and said that they'd be voting for me. It's like walking up to someone and handing them a free pass to a movie when you know that the theatre will be closed on that day...
Gregori2010-06-28 20:40:46
Everyone knew that you would be the only one to vote for you. Of those in the Founders I am not even sure which of them would say otherwise.

It has nothing to do with the truth. Its just that every time I see you post, you're being rude. You can "speak the truth" without being rude--and it is something I'm sure you know how to do in real life.
