Warrior luck really really sucks. There's nothing in Lusternia more frustrating than having someone in critical head for a long time and not getting the behead proc. Sometimes I wish RP would let me roll on the choke/succumb train so I could just gibb people in a few seconds without any skill. Sometimes. Then I remember working for a kill is more fun, but damn it sucks when behead is being lame.

It's not behead being lame. It's you not getting wounds up much over base crit level, most likely. If you're just a couple hundred points over critical, rolling a behead is rough. If you're a couple thousand over, odds are pretty good you'll get it. Also: Higher dexterity helps. I imagine you expanded a lot and killed your dex.

Nah, it was luck, and only luck. Head was a good ways into crit, and dex is 16. I could have executed that person at will but lolbehead is a lot of fun to see

Actually yes in part. I've been doing a lot of 1v1s to try out some new strategies. As I found out with Nienla, they don't work out sometimes!

See, what you're missing is that it being at critical is not lolbehead. It doesn't tell you how deep into critical it is. And if he's at no wounds anywhere but head (and the leg when you knocked down), the head is likely not very deep into critical at all.

What you're missing is that I'm not missing anything. Repeated hack downs with head already at critical (meaning pushed 1k+ beyond crit) should result in a behead rather shortly. It didn't, hence my ranting about luck.

No, it doesn't... each apply pulls it down a long ways, any whiff and hit on chest slows you down. You need to know the exact numbers, from what I've seen of it you really didn't have good odds of pulling off a behead anywhere there. There was a small chance, but you need to have 2x the Critical level to have a 50% chance of a behead on a successful head hit (well, probably a bit less, but 16 dex is still not superb!)
