I do love the responses here tongue.gif
In all likelyhood I'll more likely go down the 'I'm bored with this abuse I'm leaving untill you guys sort yourself out' path, as that's way less likely to get me in more trouble.

Welcome to where nearly every former Celestian ever that wasn't in the habit of going inactive for months at a time. I'm convinced the only reason that Mali, Nyde, and a few of the others are still in Celest is because they take half year breaks all the time.

I thought Kira might murder Ongaku in his sleep after he did it. Was quite amusing.

The breaks help, yeah. So does loving being a novice aide, because the newbies keep coming in no matter what's happening (usually). I love the real newbies to death, and even the alts can be fun if they're not in "trainbashgraduate" mode.
Also, when I feel down, I just go find one of Noola's forum posts. Her happiness is infectious like you wouldn't believe. Actually, she's just awesome in general.

Speaking of cliques, I come back to find that I want to strangle people and/or pound my head against a wall until I pass out. Yay!

Just a curiousity, did any other guilds have to request to be able to have furniture in their guildhall?
Xiel2010-07-06 02:13:33
We just build furniture when we need them.

You have to request that? o_o I've been wanting to get a desk and chair in my office. >.> Didn't realize I'd have to ask to do so first.

She means to be able to put the furniture in - e.g. whatever flag it is that says "Yes furniture can be built/placed here"
I think.

Rikenfriez got fixed! Maybe.

Yep, I've already gone through the appropriate ways to get this settled. I was just weirded out because I've never ever heard of this before (All the old guilds should have it Ongaku, don't worry)

I can't help but wonder if family RP is a good way to stay attached to the game and build cliques, or an excellent repellent. I'd like to try it, but players from other IRE games either treat it with apathy or disgust.

Family rp is basically what you(and everyone else in the family) make it out to be.
EDIT:
Basically, families tend to evolve into close-knit communities(or at least most of the family).

Haven't tried to put furniture in the Institute yet. Someone must have forgotten to turn your furniture flag on!

Ours was, so we had to keep bugging Elo-bear for it.

The n'Kylbars seem to want nothing to do with one another. I know there's quite a few of them I would prefer to do without. But Ongaku's part of the family (children, grandchildren, spouse) all care about each other a lot and are very close. Lucan's family (not the Ama'nar'isils, his birth family, which is just Everiine at this point, plus his spouse and son) is really close too. I want Xaakin to find a family.
And thanks for the clarification, diamondais. I wasn't sure if it was an "I have to ask Kalikai/Lekius/whomever if it's okay to put furniture in here," or just "Our guildhall doesn't have the flagging."

How many of them de-evolve into drama fests here in good ol' Lusternia? My only (very limited) experience with family RP was some utterly ridiculous vampire RP in Aetolia.
Sylphas2010-07-06 03:07:48
Talnaras have been pretty solid for the most part, although with the second great splintering with Gaudi released, I don't know how it will continue to evolve.
Unknown2010-07-06 03:08:10
De-volve into drama fests? You mean, evolve!
Iunno, I think family RP is pretty awesome. The Ysav'rai vs Nightshade thing a while back was pretty cool from an outsider's perspective, anyway.
Some families are like that, some are just groups of people that have nothing to do with each other, some are mainly just for friendly chatter.
