How many of them de-evolve into drama fests here in good ol' Lusternia? My only (very limited) experience with family RP was some utterly ridiculous vampire RP in Aetolia.
If you're concerned about drama fests, don't EVER get into the n'Kylbars. I can't speak for any others though. Only other families I've had characters in are Ama'nar'isil, which also has people in it I want nothing to do with, and Dekoven. Both of those families Lucan belonged to, and he hasn't been particularly active in either (he only ever really talked to Meliana in the Dekovens, aside from his wife), but he's a rather aloof individual anyway. Unfortunately, Everiine isn't married, so I can never get Lucan to be an actual, mechanical part of the Silverwolf family.

The family RP is highly dependent on the founders of the family and the way they tried to structure it, and the quality of interaction between your character and their parents/siblings (likely the main ones you will be interacting with).

I wish I could do something interesting with Stormcrow, but I'm too much of a non-leader to dictate a steady direction.

I like the Shavatts because they're how I envisioned all of Hallifax would be when I started playing. It'll be interesting to see how they develop as the kids start getting married and procreating.

Adoption is always a possibility.

The Shavatt boys are odd enough already!

You're Hallifaxian. Do it for the Collective.
"Do it", lol.

I really enjoyed the d'Murani. It's just like any other group. If you've got good RPers, it'll be fun RP. If you've got mature people, it'll be low drama. You just have to be aware of what you're getting into and not rush into a decision. Since most families really don't have pre-existing mythoi or game mechanics or whatever built around them, they pretty much solely depend on the quality of people involved.

You won't be the Shavatt boys if one of you gets a mirror.

Talnaras used to be pretty awesome, so the potential is definitely there.

Ours was, so we had to keep bugging Elo-bear for it.
Well, if that was the case it was me who forgot to flag it in the first place, so that seems justified.

Yeah, but you were very helpful. I now have a desk to be dramatic with!
Also, about families, most of the great houses are awesome, I say most because I have never had a Kalas character. I hear good things, though.

Ahah! So is it also you I can blame for reading more than I will ever need to know about the Swiss guards and Soviet political and military systems?
More seriously, I am appreciating the background and surroundings of the Sentinels a lot more. Thank you, and kudos! Though as has been said elsewhere, we could use some help with the 'timecop' aspect, lest I start heading in a certain 'muscles from brussels' direction.

Losing 12% at 95 is not fun.

I'm trying to figure out a way to tie the Naresni family in to Gaudiguch, but I have to think about it in modern terms instead of the family names traditional to Gaudiguch. I'm more concerned with others things, so it is sort of on the backburner besides adopting some wonderful people with Aoife.

If you weren't on your stupid alt all the time, you'd realise that we are still pretty damn awesome.
Actually, we're more awesome without Nejii.

I didn't say they weren't still awesome, although ouch!
