(why am I doing this instead of writing scrolls... sad.gif)

The real question is, why haven't you made that a scroll yet?

Made a project with my ideas, want to make sure people are on board before I actually go ahead and change everything though. One man can't do it all!

Except mechanically, we can't do that. Much like everything else about the Sentinels.

Welcome to Lusternia?

One man has been the only thing that ever has done it all.

It's a little irksome when someone stops you from doing a quest JUST to stop you doing a quest, as in it doesn't effect them or their org in any real way.

In other news, huzzah for soon to be new management for Celest tongue.gif

...Two? Who's the second?

And yes, but it's a good change, so it's good either way.

Mirai stepped down as Cantor GM. EDIT: I should just leave it at that.

I would totally consider making a Sentinel if they were actually turned into a Secret Police sort of guild! It would be awesome to tail people and just gather info and junk. And this is coming from someone who doesn't like the warrior archetype. tongue.gif

I could do that, Sentinel stuff, yeah.

You ever seen the movie "Der Leben Die Andern" or something like that?

Yeah, I could do that.

Except the feeling compassion with your subjects of surveillance over prolonged exposure to their lives, dreams and hopes.

I would never fall into that trap < _ <

Learning messages for Harmony, please.

Best way to get them starts with writing them. That's why we have Tinkering messages now, I wanted some so I wrote some.

I could be the crazy, homeless guy with the tooth that eavesdrops on him. Good thing I have my platinum foil hat on!

You'll have to call everyone Bob, right, Bob?

Working on it as we speak. No promises on how well (or poorly) they'll turn out, though. hypnotised.gif

I find it hard to show restraint when people like Esano and Solanis wait until everyone is asleep and then raid/defile.

Edit: And the, 'I live in Australia' argument doesn't fly since you're around when everyone else is too and never do any of this stuff when we are. tongue.gif

By now, neither side has the moral high ground to say "Your tactics are lame".

On another note, any guild that relies solely on "mechanics" to define their RP will lose. Use your imagination. So what if you can't mechanically detain someone? If that's what you want to try, go for it.

I logged on and people were like "hey you, we're defiling come help, we already downed one shrine". I was surprised to see such initiative (as off-peak as it was).

Das Leben Der Anderen is an awesome movie and I could totally see the Sentinels being kind of like that. It will be awesome if/when they come out with a Polearm specialization.

Aloysha's character is allegedly from a few thousand years in the future, so he's way too far removed from present day to be expected to be able to say what will happen every day.

But yeah, he gets a lot of trouble for it. When high-ranking denizens, not to mention Elostian himself, are telling him he's crazy and can't possibly be from the future, his RP tends to hit a few snags. Still, he's a trooper and keeps holding on to what he started with. I just don't envy his situation in the least!

I'm sorry, but he's a time traveller from the future who is having children before he was born and see's no issue with this. I can barely go anywhere without bumping into one of Sarans descendants and that's only over a hundred years, so likelyhood that he is now his own ancestor is large let alone the possibility that he has changed his relative "past".

So basically, unless we have an admin doing events for us on a regular basis, we have nothing.

Could be interesting to have an area somewhere where temporal anomolies appear randomly, or maybe allows the opening and closing of small rifts. I don't think it could be exclusive to the sentinels, but I wonder how difficult it would be to make it so that if you are a ranking(gr 3) sentinel/institute member you close it instead of the mob.
Razenth2010-07-08 05:31:42
It would be cool if that was part of your Collegium quests.
