It would be cool if that was part of your Collegium quests.
That would be interesting too, but it would be a once off thing that novices do which I don't think would help out the older players who are looking for something.

I'm sorry, but he's a time traveller from the future who is having children before he was born and see's no issue with this. I can barely go anywhere without bumping into one of Sarans descendants and that's only over a hundred years, so likelyhood that he is now his own ancestor is large let alone the possibility that he has changed his relative "past".
Entirely in my opinion, not being a Hallifax patron and such, but it strikes that this would be one of those 'temporal anomalies' the Sentinels are supposed to stop (contain or 'eliminate' the threat to the time stream). That is to say, anyone who claims to be from a distant time period should be locked up until they can be reinserted into the proper time stream and such, no?
Not to rain on the proverbial 'parade', of course - I think it's an interesting angle (though not unique - the Templar Tutor is from the distant past), and Aloysha's lack of knowledge on future events can easily be explained as Hardari's was - as he remained in the current time stream, his memory of the past began to fade. I suppose one could argue that the time-stream has a sense of self-preservation, and, like a water balloon, if you push in one place it simply displaces things to make up for the anomaly/your finger. Of course, one must be careful, lest it pops.
It'd be an interesting paper to read, for sure! In fact, the Sentinels had quite a few noted scientists among their own ranks in ye olden days. I think it'd be fascinating for a Sentinel to write up a piece on temporal displacement and why those like Hardari, those who are removed from one timeline to another due to a rift in time, begin to forget their old lives, etc.

They're not giving me the funding to build a device to get Aloysha up to 88 miles per hour to send him BACK... to the future.

I'm fairly sure that I've mentioned the irony of a temporal anomaly being in the sentinels, it was shrugged off from memory. As well as the potential issues with entering the containment area in the institute, I would expect anomalies entering it would end up in their correct time period, though that would go to the workings of the containment fields and wether the correct "present" is determined on entry or the individual.

Or what if Aloysha needs to be there or else we threaten to open up a Hawking hole with angry, drunk robots in it. And then I have to play D&D with Al Gore for eternity.

It is not necessary for a mancrush to be dignified.

Do Nekotai and Ninjakari have learning messages?
Just "bugged" this. There are no learning lines for nekotai or psychometabolism.
Shiri2010-07-08 12:46:51
It's not a bug, you're supposed to write them yourself. (Ours got "lost in the post", as it were, a while ago...should really get back onto that.)

Oh? Did not know this. Who do we submit to... or does the GM have a guild priv that allows this?
Edit: Wouldn't the Nekotai psymet learning message be the same as the Shofangi psymet learning message?
Shiri2010-07-08 14:48:12
You have to pray to/msg your patron, there's no special command.
Yes, all psymet messages would be the same, so if you have something in mind the courteous thing to do would be to message the other guilds to see what they think before submitting anything (if you did it well enough the chances they'll object are probably pretty low). I'm sure Sadie will be up for input on behalf of SF for example (or I can if not.) Nekotai you can sort out just between your guild leaders.

On the other hand, you actually have to have a gm who gives a crap. I've submitted really good learning text for Tahtetso, Harmony, and Shofangi to guildmasters, and none of them ever got updated.
