My illithoid has flowing locks - am I doing something wrong?

Technically.

But practically, you can just use the "A wizard did it" excuse, mongrel.

Note -

Hi Ninjakari! Uhm, yeah. Apparently, no one told you where your very nice, a gem-wrapped steel vial of the Leviathan, were being kept.

That would be the Lunar Rose cartel.

So, uhm, if ya'll want to buy lots now, since no one could tell where to buy them before....you can.

Don't kill the messenger, please?

What do you do when your organization(s) on your character(s) all frustrate you, short of just leaving? sad.gif

Regain perspective (i.e. log off, don't tell anyone when you're coming back, go do things in the real world).
Razenth2010-07-08 21:24:29
Go on a murderous rampage, QQ your org, and join your opposites. Then start griefing. Channel your hate into something productive and become a more violent and impulsive person.

HNNNNNNNNNNNGH

Why do people care so much about imaginary political positions? Why?

Heh. Has it really been established that illithoid can have no hair? I can't find any illithoid denizens, as I don't know much about the lay of the land still (my requests for tips IG ends up being "Pilgrims! Scholars! Bards!" and nothing else).

People form strong attachments to their characters in escapist fantasies. If they're ambitious about gaining political power for their character, well, there you go. Also present (usually) is a strong sense of entitlement for being in an organization X number of months/years and/or for hard work (i.e., turning in fairies, etc.) in the service of that organization.

Unhealthy.

You'll find them pretty much exclusively in the Prison and Ixthiaxa, both in the Undervault, exceptions being mainly some org and guild mobs. I can't recall any with hair off hand, though you could get away with it by claiming to have some human heritage if that suits you.

I'm sorry, but he's a time traveller from the future who is having children before he was born and see's no issue with this. I can barely go anywhere without bumping into one of Sarans descendants and that's only over a hundred years, so likelyhood that he is now his own ancestor is large let alone the possibility that he has changed his relative "past".

Someone needs to title him Mr. I'm My Own Grandpa

You could get away with it, but I dunno how canon it would really be, since Illithoid were only recently discovered and haven't interbred nearly as much as the other races. Not a big deal, just something to consider.
Unknown2010-07-09 03:45:15
This is the first time I've heard anyone make mention of whether or not they care that an illithoid has hair. In most illithoid NPC descriptions, it doesn't even come up - maybe the mention of veins on the forehead, but rarely mentions of scalp, covered or otherwise. As someone who's regularly around illithoid characters, I wouldn't give a damn over hair.

Now, if you have snakes/tentacles growing out of your scalp, that is an issue.
Harkux2010-07-09 06:34:44
You writhe in pain as you fall to level 98.
You sigh in frustration as you fall to the level of Lord of Creation.

Eh. Not even mad or anything about it, at least. Just kinda 'meh, oh well'.
Xavius2010-07-09 06:38:33
Getting enemied to orgs you don't touch is really, really, really obnoxious. I'm currently sitting on three illegitimate enemy statuses, and two of the orgs look like they're refusing to acknowledge their mistakes.

I mean, really. If you're a Celestian, do you believe Inagin's enemy statuses? If you're Magnagoran, do you believe Malarious? If you're Glom, do you believe Celina?
