Things you can wear under robes, that my tailor knows about:
- boxers
- panties
- loincloth
- petticoat
- slip
- bodice
- chemise
- corset
- bra
All of these fall into the 'intimate apparel' category of clothing. Not the kind of thing anyone but an exhibitionist would wear alone under an open fronted robe.
I like the idea of just adding another layer for armor/robes.

Really don't like the idea of having to get multiple articles of clothing enchanted for stats :S also where does this leave splendors and general robe proofing things? Also unbalances if regular clothes that can already be worn with armor is suddenly proofable somehow.

Also, really not hard to carry a seperate set of clothes for when you're not hunting, it's pretty easy to do remove robes wear dress/remove dress wear robes. remove robes wear pants wear blouse. >_>
I've got two armoires in my manse just for other outfits and stuff! Really easy to even set up aliases or whatever to change now and then. If you're really that concerned about fashion than a little extra effort isn't going to hurt.
Being one of the few lingering nudist Moondancers I never seem to find it that hard to strip down and wear all my clothes and jewelery and such when situations permit, and that's pretty much the extreme case of it. Doesn't take balance or anything, it's eassssy.

I wouldn't want to see regular clothes enchanted either. Just let robes be worn over other clothing.

Just starting to get into influencing... but I had Saphira tailor some clothes for the purposes of influencing. In order to switchout from bashing to influencing, I have to remove coat/cloak/robe and then switch into my blouse/skirt/coat/cloak (and some other accessories).
Other than the RP / fashion sense, are "clothes" and "robes" kept separate for a game mechanic? I mean, otherwise you would be able to influence/bash in the same outfit. It seems silly you could wear a frilly dress under a robe... and bash in that. Just saying...

And yet I've gone hunting many times in a dress.

Noola always refused to wear greatrobes at all cause she was Trill and spent a lot of time flying over people's heads and she didn't like the idea that anyone them might look up and see her underpants.

Undershirts in general... none of the garments are moderately shirt-like that cover just chest/gut.
Indeed, women have a much wider range of options for undergarments. I demand undershirts!
Though for plate armour, it really doesn't make sense to be wearing a set of trousers underneath. Oh how it would chafe, and wrinkle the clothes, besides!

Or, are you in need of a Bro?

Something every man needs:
A rugged-looking male bra
This manssiere has been crafted from the roughest brown leather. Formed of tough leather, this bro firmly holds the pectoral muscles in shape while also giving them more definition. Just under the shoulder blades, a thick leather strap tightens and loosens the garment. A strong cast iron clasp is attached to the strap which holds the bro in place
